Death Full Moon Log; (OPEN)

«OOC» This log will be run different than the ones prior to it. We are asking players to pretty much handle the boss fight on their own instead of asking mods to play out the boss battle. If you do need assistance or have any questions, please reply to this thread and we will answer back as soon as possible. Due to the timing of this log, please feel free to backtag on it for as long as you like. If you need a refresher on the event, please glance over this post.

The day (October 15) has ultimately been a rough one, taxing on both civilians and those who aren't naturally from this world. Naturally, the power of the full moon breaks the cycle and victory grows further out of reach for those who seek it. The "zombies" roam well beyond the Dark Hour and throughout the day. Wreaking havoc on those who stand in the way and even those who try to run, it appears that this is going to be a very taxing time of battle.

Good news everyone! The Death Arcana has made it's appearance in front of the hotel. Almost as though they were expecting people to return there for safety. Bad news everyone... It seems the zombie population here is much higher, almost as though they were drawn in by this being's presence. There's a sliver of hope however! This one doesn't seem to have the usual ~~trash mobs~~ shadows around it...

Remember, parties can consist of 3-6 characters. It might not be a bad idea to team up when there's this many zombies shuffling around...

Damn it!

[ Kyouko's unhappy. ~~What else is new?~~ She was hoping to make it back into the hotel with ease, but it seems she's been blocked by the sudden appearance of a nastier looking Shadow. One she's willing to bet is the cause behind all of this. Sitting up on top of a street lamp, she was undetected until her sudden outburst.

Well, she's not going to tolerate being shaken up by zombies. Not when she has the Best Persona Ever. Calling for her while holding onto the lamp post for dear life, Scathach (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Scathach) appeaars, casting several Garu to knock away the zombies from the pole. ]

[ Standing up tall from the roof of the hotel is one Arturia Pendragon (otherwise known as dfc!Saber. She's clearly distressed, as if she's had to restrain herself the entire day, watching the zombies maul through the innocents of this city. ]

This is wrong. [ Spoken to the other person on the roof with her. ] It is maddening to just stand by idly and not act!

[ If it was possible for Saber to feel anger, it would be towards her helplessness. Turning her gaze back downwards, it's then that she notices the peculiar Shadow that's appeared. ]

Lancer-!! [ Leaning over the railing for a better look. ] Is this the reason you forced this restraint on us?

I know, Saber. But it's either that or do nothing but fight all day into the night--logically, this is the only way to be fairly sure we can live through this fight.

[He knew a Shadow would appear eventually--tonight was a full moon, so he was certain something would happen. And they had to be ready for it.]

That's exactly it. [Already in full armor, Lancer shifted his grip on the weapons in his hands.] Shall we get to work, then?

Are our lives vastly more important than the innocent lives that were lost today, Lancer?

[ Gripping the railing tightly, the internal conflict tears at her mind. This was the only way to ensure they could survive against a stronger Shadow, were one to appear, and to set things back to normal. Hopefully. It was all just speculation and that's what drove her into this frenzy of self-loathing.

She knows that she doesn't face it alone though. It's only natural that if he's going to force her to stay back, that he must stay back as well. It wasn't as though he were Shirou, who would fight non-stop to save just a single life. ]

We should wait for the others. [ 'If any remain.' ]

[This isn't too bad. It's not as though Klaus doesn't live in his lab half the time now anyway. But he does need something from his hotel room to complete the prototype for a second design of the lightning sword he's currently carrying, and he can't because all those zombies and the Death Arcana are in the way.

And NOBODY gets in the way of SCIENCE!]

Right. Round two, then.

[With one eye and a weapon he's feeling not entirely confident with, however (thanks Ingrid and Ada), he'll need backup. WHO NEEDS A WALL? HE'S GOOD AT BEING ONE OF THOSE.]

[Miki was not having a good day, since her usual job of moving around the city delivering things had gotten much harder when all of the zombies decided to try killing her in the morning rather than wait till dark like normal. Miki enjoys beating people up but after a full day of it having to fight through a thick mob of zombies and now some giant thing was standing in front of the entrance is not exactly what she wanted to do. What she wanted to do was sleep. With a frustrated roar miki calls forth her persona Ares and gets ready to beat her way to her bed.]

No. But we would be no use to anyone were we to die in the middle of combat. This Shadow is far stronger than the more common ones, you and I both know that. In order to defeat it, we'll need to be as close to our full strength as possible.

Heeeeeeeeeeey! Need some help?

[Sakurako comes running up with Maneki Neko floating dutifully behind her.]

[Please, it works better now. But in the meantime, Ada is kind of. Hiding in a high spot and freaking the fuck out.]

What-- what is this?!

I know. I just...

[ 'Cannot forgive myself for this travesty.' Words unspoken, she just lets the sentence trail off with that, pushing herself back down onto the roof fully. She's already clad in her usual armor save for the gauntlets, the pair resting along with her sword nearby. ]

How will we reunite with the others? If we go down there, we surely will be overwhelmed.

[ Garviel steps out of stairwell to the roof, growling. ]

Come on, the war awaits, I've been gathering the other ones who are aware in the rooms below us. [ He is covered in blood, from head to foot, the white knight now a crimson mess. ]

I'll clear you the way...

[ He coughs briefly, and turns his head. ] At this point, the war needs a general. And a knight. So the two of you get down there, I'll cut a path.

[No, see, what he meant by 'backup' was 'someone useful' not 'someone to troll the everloving fuck out of me'. Jeez, Ada.]

You hadn't noticed? It's been like this for the past few nights. Though the... ah... floating creature with the coffin wings is new.

...Either way, there is no point in standing here. If we cut down the leader, surely the rest will follow.

I have rather intelligently been using my nights for sleep, Baron!

[Go get backup then, it'll be terribly pleasant to know it's his fault she got murdered by zombies.]

[And if her voice sounds a bit shrill, well, it is. What the everloving fuck.]

Garviel?

[ There's a hint of surprise when she first lays her gaze upon the man, her own eyes widened with surprise. ]

Right. [ Swiftly she pulls on her gauntlets, fingers flexing within the metal with ease. With the same fluid motion, she picks up her precious blade, moving to follow him. ]

Do not think I am incapable of fighting. If we are to face the onslaught, it will be together.

Oh geez.

[He's well aware of what tonight is. It's the full moon, after all. The night where a large Shadow will come out, and highly likely to be the one responsible for this entire mess.

Navigating the streets from the dorms to the apparent source was difficult. Atsuro had to be quick and alert to avoid as many fights as possible.

Once he's almost at the hotel, he keep his eyes on the large Shadow from his hiding spot.]

This is it.

I see. You've not missed much, really. They are exceptionally strong, exceptionally fast, and reanimated from the corpses of the dead. Your standard revenant.

[Totally standard. Everyone knows about them. Right?]

[Tatsuma is tired.

He has been out all day, not so much fighting as he has been guiding. Trying desperately to get the ordinary people to safer places during this dangerous time. Some attempts went better than others.

It isn't until he takes to a rooftop to try to look for a way back to the hotel that he sees the Death. Although he is weary, he silently begins making his way down again; he'll give every last bit he has to take this thing down if he has to.]

[Ryuunosuke watched people die a little while today, and the change was interesting, but honestly, zombies don't have any creativity than from a splatter movie, do they? That's why he'd rather have them go away so he can kill for himself.

That was a weird-looking thing, trying too hard to look badass. He'd like it better when it killed somebody.]

Uh, standard procedure is like things were during the first, right? I was. Busy. The last time.

[Meaningful glance at Lancer. Yeah, he was sort of dead then.]

[It was amazing how quickly the shelter Endou and Kazemaru took that day became unsafe. The sheer number of zombies that suddenly came roaming the area made it so that neither could let their guard down for a second soon as they come out of hiding. By now, there was only one way out--running past the mass of undead.]

[The two boys awaited the clearing, and timed the second to bolt.]

[They face each other and share a nod.]

[Alerted, the zombies' heads turned, and they give chase. Skillfully dodging, Endou and Kazemaru make their way a short distance before a loud =crash=, and a cut off scream.]

[Heavy dust blurred Endou's view; but he could tell for certain that debris had collapsed onto the other.]

[Kaiji was at his wit's end this week. He's had enough of fighting the innocent citizens in this town who've become monsters. Several of his immigrant allies have been killed or have disappeared. And now today he's been fighting off zombies nonstop, trying to keep himself and the other citizens safe as best as he can.

But that resolve of his is starting to fade due to mental and physical exhaustion. He's carrying a dented metal baseball bat, he's splattered with blood, and he's eying up Death.]
