On weaponry [closed]
WHO: Homura and Madoka
WHEN: August 9th, after class
WHERE: Outside of the dorms.
SUMMARY: In which weaponry is discussed.
RATING: PG/PG-13
Homura had the bow she arrived with in hand and a quiver of arrows strapped to her back. She'd just texted Madoka to meet her in front of the dorms.
It was problematic that Madoka had no weapons and her Persona didn't seem to have any fighting ability. It was with this is mind that Homura resolved to give her friend back the bow. Of course, she wasn't sure if Madoka knew how to use it yet, and she would rather ask her friend in person. Plus, this way if Madoka didn't know, they could go to the archery range and practice.
Of course meant that Homura would have to find another weapon, but she would deal with that later. Madoka's was always her top priority.

"I... I hope you didn't have to wait too long, Homura-chan!" Madoka said as she approached the other girl.
She blinked in confusion when she sees Homura with her bow. What were they going to do...? It was too early to fight Shadows...

"It's fine." She didn't mind the wait, it was just nice to be able to see her friend again.
"Madoka, do you have a weapon yet?" She hadn't seen her friend with one, but it was possible she had acquired one recently. Still, it would be good for Madoka to have the weapon she would have gotten at home.

"N-No, I..." It never crossed Madoka's mind to get a weapon, since she's mainly support, but now that Homura mentioned it... It may be a good idea as a measure of self-defense. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle it, though...

"I'll give you the bow and arrows. Have you used them before?" she seemed to after she made her wish. But this Madoka hadn't had that happen for her yet, plus those were magical. Here it was simply a bow.
no subject
"O-Of course not," she didn't really have a reason to before, anyway. Then again, for some reason she felt unsure about her answer. Still, that wasn't the issue right now, in Madoka's case. "But... Homura-chan! I can't just accept this! I-I mean... What about you? How are you going to protect yourself without this...?"
no subject
"But yours doesn't seem capable of attack." Which means Madoka is far more in need of a weapon than Homura is.
no subject
"I-I understand..." Defeated, Madoka gives a meek nod. "Thank you very much for this, Homura-chan. I'll, um... be sure to treasure it."

We should go to the archery range." It would be good to get some practice in. Homura would prefer Madoka had some experience before getting into an actual battle during the Dark Hour.
And with that she'll start to walk in the direction of it.

Once they get to the range, she'll hand over the quiver of arrows as well.
"Try to hit the target." There was one already set up, a fair distance away.
no subject
... Well, that's a start.

It wasn't too bad for a first try, but aim like that wouldn't serve her well in the middle of a battle. Homura would stay here all day until Madoka could consistently hit the target dead on.
"Try again."

It hits it right in the dead center of the bull's-eye. Madoka blinks in surprise.
"D-Did I... do that?"
no subject
"You did. Try again." She had to be sure it wasn't a one time fluke.
no subject
Thunk.
Another bull's-eye. Madoka blinks at the target, then glances down at her bow in disbelief.
"It's strange... I've never used a bow before, but it feels so natural in my hand... I don't understand it."
no subject
"Just accept it." It was simple, it was quick, and it meant Madoka would be well equipped to deal with potential enemies.
