Who: Ryu and OPEN
What: Ryu, being the natural adventurer than he is, has stayed out too late. This is a problem.
When: Saturday the 21st, Dark Hour
Where: The business district, vaguely near the Dungeon.
Rating: … PG-13 to be safe?

[The night is getting cold, and Ryu shivers as he walks along the streets. He should be getting back… but he can't figure out which way the hotel is. He doesn't like this - he can't tell where he is, this whole place is full of strange things, and he can't even transform or use his skills.]

[He blinks, and all of a sudden the whole place is bathed in an odd light. The few people who were out… where did they go? They've been replaced by those long, odd boxes…]

[There's a sudden noise behind him, and he turns, frowning at the strange creature that's suddenly there.]

Hey there. What are you -

[He backs away as it makes a lunge for him, and he once again wishes he has his sword back. Fine. He'll try using his fists. He leaps towards the monster, and ends up on his butt as it deflects it somehow.]

Wha?!

[… Now would be a good time for help. ;;]

Attis!

[A boy's voice called out, before a strange, bandaged man appears and cast a light spell. Spell papers materialise below the Shadow, glowing as the Hama spell kills it.]

[Ryu looks in the direction of the voice, before the strange sight makes him back off for a minute.]

How did...

[He stares at the boy, and then back at the street, because there's another one coming up behind him.]

Look out!

[Ryu moves towards him, trying to figure out how he's going to attack something that won't take any physical damage...]

[Noticing the Shadow, Allen readies his claws as his Persona went forward to attack with his dagger.]

Quick! Go inside a building!

[Or something, as Attis engaged with the enemy.]

[He hesitates, not wanting to leave him, and then another Shadow smacks him from behind. He lashes out on instinct, ending up on his butt again as it and another Shadow tackle him. He pulls away as much as he can, but they smack him once more.]

[This... isn't working. He can't use his skills, he can't transform, he can't do anything. He's half of an Endless - but he can't protect people like this.]

[He growls in frustration, and as the Shadows smack him again and he ends up on his butt for the third time, something pulls at him.]

[I am thy true self
Call my name
And thou shall have the power to aid thy allies]

[He stands, something resolving inside him, and he calls out its name.]

Seiryu!

[The massive dragon appears above him, as a fire appears below the nearby Shadows sending them backwards.]

[Another Persona awakening. And yet again, it's when someone's in danger or need help. Awakening their Persona means they can defend themselves, but Allen still don't like exposing them in danger to trigger the summoning.

Gripping his claws, he slash at a Shadow. Allen recognised the ones immune to physicals, so he know which one he can hit.]

Are you okay?!

[Attis moves backward for some space, casting yet another light spell to kill a Shadow.]

[He winces slightly - he's definitely not as resistant to damage as he used to be, but nods.]

I'll be okay.

[Wading through the Shadows, he summons the dragon again, the fire knocking some of them down.]

[A few of the remaining ones try to attack him, and, finding that his instinctual strike doesn't knock him back again, he goes to work hitting them until they're gone. He'd really prefer a sword, but this'll have to do.]

If you're too wounded, let me know. I'll heal you.

[He's glad that the other boy's Persona can use elemental spells. His light spells might be fatal, but they're not always successful.

Attis ~~use Swift Strike~~ swiftly strike at a group of them. Some of the Shadows got defeated by the attack, others weaken or resist it.]

I should be okay. It's just hurting more than it should...

[Ugh. Were all humans really this fragile? ;w; He needs to protect them more, then! He uses the fire spell again, watching as some of the Shadows deflate.]

Other than giving us Personas, every one of us are more or less normal humans.

[He really miss using his curse and Innocence. ;; Allen kicks away a Shadow, watching it get strike down by his Persona.]

[He frowns at that.]

I noticed. I can't transform, or use my skills, or do anything that I usually would be able to do. A Dragon Breath would probably take them out really easily...

My powers would've clear them out quicker, as well.

[Oh crap, a Shadow with physical immunity. Allen attempts to kill it with Hama.]

[And Ryu dives in with an Agi. There isn't that much else he can do against something like that.]

[After a while, the Shadows' numbers went down.]

Are you doing okay?

[He doesn't say anything, but he's starting to pant a little. The unusual amount of effort required, plus the drain on him from the multiple casts of Agi... both are starting to take their toll.]

[A glance at him told Allen enough. They need to go to a safe place and let Ryu rest up.

Casting a Dia over Ryu, Allen scan the area quickly.]

Can you run?

I can. But I won't run when someone else could use my help.

I understand, but until then, we got to get to safety.

Then you retreat. I'll make sure none of them follow you.

[He can't let people get hurt on his behalf...]

No, you retreat first. You're not used to wielding your Persona yet and I am.

[He have months worth of training over Ryu.]

[He makes a pained noise, and then turns, heading away from the Shadows. He doesn't like this...]

[He follows after Ryu, keeping the Shadows back whenever they're getting closer. They just need to go inside a building...]
