Be a great wall that towers over all.
Who: Issei (
unknownrival) and everyone else~
Where: Ace Karaoke, a karaoke bar.
When: 7:30 PM of September 20th and onward.
Summary: Singing. It is happening. You can't stop it.
The karaoke bar is well-lit, in good repair, and is generally a nice establishment before some people get into it. There is a stage with several microphones on it and a karaoke machine. You select the song you want to play from a book, enter the numbers in the machine, and it starts playing the instrumentation (and backing vocals) while showing you the words you should be singing.
If you don't like any of the selections, you can connect a laptop to the karaoke machine and select a karaoke track from elsewhere for the machine to play.
Food and drink are available, and not all of the drink is alcoholic. Customers who get too rowdy will be asked to leave, but everyone gets a little braver with some drink in them, and sometimes that's needed to get up on stage and sing like you don't know how terribly you're singing.

It's more popular in Japan to have these - that's why the Japanese term is used even in Western countries - but they're fairly commonplace. Music is everywhere, on the radio, on television, in the movies, and most certainly in concert.

[With a smile, he finds the book again, and flips to the page he wants. Puts in the number when he gets his turn.
Ahem.]
Red is the rose (http://thestrongtouch.tumblr.com/post/8802589845/red-is-the-rose-a-traditional-irish-song) that yonder garden grows
Fair is the lily of the valley
And pure is the water that flows from the Boyne
But my love is fairer than any
Come over the hill, my bonnie Irish man
Come over the hill to your lover
You take the rose, love, and I'll make the vow
And I swear I'll be your love forever
[The fact that the only Irish song Issei can recognize and pronounce is a love song is a complete coincidence.]
...this was pitched for a woman. I don't think I did very well.
