Be a great wall that towers over all.
Who: Issei (
unknownrival) and everyone else~
Where: Ace Karaoke, a karaoke bar.
When: 7:30 PM of September 20th and onward.
Summary: Singing. It is happening. You can't stop it.
The karaoke bar is well-lit, in good repair, and is generally a nice establishment before some people get into it. There is a stage with several microphones on it and a karaoke machine. You select the song you want to play from a book, enter the numbers in the machine, and it starts playing the instrumentation (and backing vocals) while showing you the words you should be singing.
If you don't like any of the selections, you can connect a laptop to the karaoke machine and select a karaoke track from elsewhere for the machine to play.
Food and drink are available, and not all of the drink is alcoholic. Customers who get too rowdy will be asked to leave, but everyone gets a little braver with some drink in them, and sometimes that's needed to get up on stage and sing like you don't know how terribly you're singing.

that his voice actor did a version ofand could perform with confidence. This, namely. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDfcJcVQkiQ) Except without the silly high-pitched parts.]
Count 1. It's good to improve
Count 2. It's good to rest
Count 3. It's good to think
It's good to be able to progress at my own pace-

[Ah, well. Part of being a knight was taking risks. Even just silly little ones.]
[Lancer, as it happened, had an excellent voice.
This is what happens when you're cool enough for Midorikawa Hikaru.Though he pretty much personified 'speak softly and carrya big sticktwo lances', when he did speak it was always in smooth and even tones.][So now, when he started singing? Despite the shaky start and occasional stumbling over unfamiliarity?]
I don't wanna be lonely no more
I don't wanna have to pay for this
I don't want to know the lover at my door
Is just another heartache on my list
I don't wanna be angry no more
You know I could never stand for this
So when you tell me that you love me know for sure
I don't want to be lonely anymore
[You're damn right he was good at it.]
[this is what happens when nao can't find midorikawa songs that match lancer's voice enough.]no subject

Really, you're just flattering me. [Meanwhile, he'd get himself another drink to counter the embarrassment he found himself feeling.]

[She's not singing yet; after all, it's not like that was something she was doing earlier in the day of her own accord for fun, heavens no. Such a thing wasn't a daily occurrence for her at all.]
[...Actually, it's probably a good thing for the less-confident in the room she's keeping her yap shut, save to ooh and aah at the song listing, and the karaoke machinery in general.]
Seriously? The machine has all of these stored in it, able to play 'em at any time?

Yeah. It just plays the background music for you to sing over, and the words show up on the screen.
Looks like you came ready to put on your own show, though.

I think I misconstrued the meaning of "place where you sing along to music" I heard over the phone. A little. That'll teach me to start asking questions when I'm trying something new, huh?

Or at least, that's what he thought, until April dragged him here.
And so he's relaxing on the couch and watching everyone else sing. How he's managed to bypass the time with no one forcing him to go up, nobody would know.]

Y'know, you should get up there too, at some point.
