Be a great wall that towers over all.

Who: Issei ([livejournal.com profile] unknownrival) and everyone else~
Where: Ace Karaoke, a karaoke bar.
When: 7:30 PM of September 20th and onward.
Summary: Singing. It is happening. You can't stop it.

The karaoke bar is well-lit, in good repair, and is generally a nice establishment before some people get into it. There is a stage with several microphones on it and a karaoke machine. You select the song you want to play from a book, enter the numbers in the machine, and it starts playing the instrumentation (and backing vocals) while showing you the words you should be singing.

If you don't like any of the selections, you can connect a laptop to the karaoke machine and select a karaoke track from elsewhere for the machine to play.

Food and drink are available, and not all of the drink is alcoholic. Customers who get too rowdy will be asked to leave, but everyone gets a little braver with some drink in them, and sometimes that's needed to get up on stage and sing like you don't know how terribly you're singing.

[She gives him a small smile, before going to finish off her drink. Though she's soon up to go get another one, but she turns to Ledah first.] Ah, do you want a drink or anything?

Water will be fine, thank you.

[He doesn't drink alcohol.]

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, she had the thought that he didn't drink alcohol, so she nods and goes off to get the drinks. She's back after a few moments, and she holds a glass of water out to him, her glass of alcohol in her other hand.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Accepts it.] Thank you very much.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome! [She sits back in the seat next to him and takes a sip of her drink, before moving to get the book of songs and having a look through it.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-06 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Do you recognize any?

[He hasn't looked, of course. That would be a waste of time.]

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-06 03:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[She continues to read through the book, tilting her head a bit before she frowns and shakes her head.]

Nope, I don't know any of these... Well, at least it'll be interesting trying to sing one.

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 11:14 am (UTC)(link)
I wish you luck in your task.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks, I just need to work up the nerve first. [Now just gonna take a sip of her drink.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Does alcohol help you with that?

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it helps me relax, so I won't be as nervous as I usually am. If I went up there now, I would just end up getting pretty embarrassed.

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems embarrassing either way.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[She laughs at that, but nods in agreement.] That's true, but at least if I'm a bit tipsy then I won't care about embarrassing myself that much.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehe, well, so long as I don't too much of an idiot out of myself and end up stuttering, it'll be fine. [Another sip of her drink.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 11:28 am (UTC)(link)
Try not to choose the songs with the obscenities in the titles. I imagine that they would be particularly embarrassing.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[She laughs with a nod.] I'll make sure not too, since I don't think I would be able to handle that much embarrassment even if I got completely drunk.

[April keeps flipping through the book as she sips her drink some more, though she soon stops flipping when she spots a song that might be interesting.]

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-11 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, it's called "Firework". Hopefully it'll be a good one. [Since she had seen pictures of fireworks and they looked pretty, so a song about them should be alright.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-12 04:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Enjoy yourself.

[He'll just watch.]

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-12 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod, before she downs the rest of her drink, now feeling a bit buzzed, and heads up to the mic.

Despite the shaky start and hesitation due to not really knowing what she's doing, she manages to sing this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTfZXh427B0) surprisingly well; her voice is clear and even and by the end of the song it's obvious that she's enjoying herself.

Which is why when April sits back down she has a small grin on her face, even if she does look faintly embrassed as well.]

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
[He claps politely.] I think that was well done.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-13 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[April's grin brigthens a bit more as she giggles slightly.] Hehe, thank you! That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it was actually kinda fun.

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-14 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
I hope so. Enjoying it is the point after all.

[identity profile] techno-logical.livejournal.com 2011-10-15 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
[A nod, before she leans back in her seat a bit.] Yep, and I might try going back up there again later. [Even if it was a bit nerve-wrecking, she did still enjoy it.]
