Sick days? What's that?

Who :[livejournal.com profile] needsteaplz and you
What: Overtraining finally gets to Saori
Where: The hotel lobby
When: September 30th, 1 am
Rating: PG just to be safe

Saori had just returned to the hotel lobby from solo training. She was slowly gaining confidence in fighting. Brigid learned the healing spell, Dia, thanks to their efforts. However, the Persona warned her that her magic wasn't infinite and she shouldn't rely on that as her crutch.

Seeing no one else in the room, she laid down on a nearby couch. Her metal baseball bat leaned against the couch arm. The improvised weapon had seen better days. Scratches and dents covered it. Saori herself had a few scratches but nothing fatal. Her muscles did feel much more sore than usual and she did feel a little warm. Suddenly she let out a loud sneeze. "Just great," she muttered to herself.

Ledah had also returned from training and defeating Shadows out there. He was in better shape, possibly thanks to his strong constitution - as long as ice attacks weren't involved - and possibly thanks to him not going out every single night.

He stopped in the lobby when he saw the obviously tired person lying on the couch. "You're one of the others who summon Personas, aren't you?" he asked.

"That would provide some explanation for the poor shape you're in." Ledah gave her another once-over. "How often do you go out to fight?"

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-09-29 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Train less." Bluntly. "You're in terrible shape and you're overworking yourself to the point where you won't be useful in a fight."

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-09-29 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"The hotel is relatively safe, if you come in early and just stay inside through the entire hour," he explained. "You'll be better off with some rest than if you had tried to power through it every day."

"Ledah." He nodded his head slightly. "I've been in the city for two months.

[identity profile] gaveupfeeling.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's all right. I've called mine recently; I only meant to distinguish you from the natives of the island." He glanced around the room, seeing if any such natives were there to pay attention.

"Bishamonten. A Persona of fire."

The dark Persona appeared for only a moment (http://images.wikia.com/megamitensei/images/2/23/Bishamonten.png) before it was gone.

"Don't apologize to me for your sickness." If they weren't in battle, it didn't affect him. Ledah sounded confused, really.

Allen also returned to the hotel from another night of training. His experience and training as an Exorcist contributed to his stamina, which was why he's not as tired compared to non-fighters.

"...Miss Saori?" She obviously looked very tired.
crownedexorcist: (Concern)

[personal profile] crownedexorcist 2011-09-30 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's right." He walked closer to her, looking at her tired state. "You pushed yourself out there too much?"
crownedexorcist: (Unamused)

[personal profile] crownedexorcist 2011-10-02 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
"Every night? You will just overwork and tired yourself out that way." While Allen was diligent in his own training, he made sure to get plenty of rest. "It'd carry over onto the next day."
crownedexorcist: (Cursed Eye)

[personal profile] crownedexorcist 2011-10-05 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
"And making everyone worry for you." It's a familiar thing for Allen to deal with.
crownedexorcist: (Sympathy)

"You just need to spend more time with people, but...they'd notice if there's anything wrong." How hypocritical of him, since he do want to spend time with people...but opening himself up enough for it was hard.
crownedexorcist: (Laughter)

He laughed with her. "No one would." A bit of a cheeky grin. "Maybe that's an excuse to try doting on them."

Having no persona and no overt fighting talents equated to preforming no training. Still, attempting to sleep through the dark hour was something Devola found somewhat... well, wrong. When not out and about observing the Shadows and their mannerisms, she spent time reading up on various things. Mostly things mentioned in passing by a one Asuka Langley Soryu, admittedly; but self-betterment through acquisition of knowledge, trivial or not, was still a good thing.

Still. It was well past midnight, and for whatever reason she was feeling restless. Nothing a (now-safe) walk wouldn't help with, she supposed. It was to this extent that the elevator doors opened with a merry "ding" and Devola strode into the lobby.

...And, was greeted by the unmistakable sound of a sneeze. She walked over to Saori, a light smile on her face as she spoke. "Gesundheit. You're up kinda late."

Speaking as a veritable diety of slowtagging, don't worry 'bout it~

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-10-02 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
A sympathetic smile was offered, Devola taking a seat in a nearby chair. Talking with people was far more interesting than walking all by one's lonesome at this hour, especially with murders like Kaito's left unsolved. "Well, it seems to be getting colder out as of late for whatever reason. Nothing like a prolonged change in body temperature to trigger a sickness, right?"

She scratched her chin, musingly. "Maybe find some warmer clothing? Or like you said, take more time to rest..."

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-10-03 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Season... change?" There was a slight inclination of the head to complete Devola's parrot-impersonation before she continued on, curiously. "Should I take that to mean it's going to get colder?"

Speaking of interesting stories, it would sound like this one comes from a strange place.

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-10-04 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Devola replied with a wry smile, "Well, consider that the changing of 'day and night' was kind of a new thing for me... Let's just say I've got some adapting to do as far as stuff mosta the rest of ya take for granted is concerned."

Really, if there was an award for "most messed-up" homeworld, she was starting to think she'd get rather high on the rankings.

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-10-05 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Ah, yeah. Aside from the obvious technology difference... lesse." And, speaking of technology, Devola began to count off on her fingers as she spoke.

So. High-tech.

"'Climate' was completely static: the only difference between the weather each day was how many clouds were out. Never had any rain, either, and as an aside I'm feeling a bit gypped now. Rain's a rather nice event. The sun was always out, like I said before ((except for side-stories where the creators forgot about their own setting, gdit cavia.))- and yeah, we were in contact with some places that were in a state of permanent darkness as well. Tides didn't seem to be much of a factor either - or not as much as they are here, anyway..."

She paused, searching her memory before shrugging. "Those are the biggest changes. Well, biggest aside from all the nifty machines you can find all over the place, here."

[identity profile] skaldssong.livejournal.com 2011-10-06 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
She tilted her head to the side ever-so slightly, Saori's reaction was... well, sort of unexpected. Then again, the few times Devola had exposited about home had garnered a different reaction each and every time.

"Snow? I'll look forward to it, I guess? ...Anyway, you're asking the wrong person about 'natural' or 'artificial', I didn't even know there could be an artificial climate until recently."
