There's a zombie on your lawn

Who:

needsteaplz and YOU. (open)
What: The zombie invasion begins
Where: Streets of Prospero
When: October 10th Dark Hour

Saori recovered from her cold a few days after she caught it. She decided to take it easy with the training, aiming for at least 3 times a week instead of daily. Besides, after the news of people disappearing and found dead on the beaches, it was probably safer to stay indoors. At this point though, she couldn't ignore it and had to look for herself.

She thought about contacting someone to see if they wanted to join her, but she had a feeling people were just going to tell her stay in the hotel. So going solo was her only choice and she wouldn't be out for long. Just a quick check on the streets and back to the Hotel. She'll only fight if it was inevitable.

When she took a step out, she wasn't expecting zombies. Very fast zombies on top of that. She scrambled to get to a roof top or any place where the zombies couldn't reach her.

[Miki shouts from an adjacent rooftop.]

S-saori! What are you doing out here! Are you out here to help control this riot?

I could ask you the same thing!

[She smacks one of them away with her bat.]

I though we'd be dealing with regular shadows, not zombies!

Well I was just out looking for shadows to beat up and then all these people started going crazy! I've never taken on so many people at once! This is pretty fun isn't it?

FUN?!

[Yes, she's looking at Miki like she's insane before kicking another zombie away.]

We're seriously outnumbered and you're not worried you might die?!

I've faced enemies with killing intents thousands of times higher than these things. I'm not going to lose to a bunch of guys who can't walk straight!

[Miki jumps down from the building she is on, summoning Ares on her way down. The hulking Greek Bashes one of them out of the way as Miki darts over to the building Saori is on and starts trying to clear out the ones trying to claw at her.]

[Saori can't help but watch in amazement as Miki made her way over. Honestly, she wished she had as much courage as her.]

You might just have a point there. I refuse to go down by them.

[She lets Brigid take out individual zombies closing in on Miki with an Agi fire spell. Saori reaches out for her.]

Let me know if you need to be healed. My Persona can heal a bit.

[Miki grabs Saori's arm and hauls herself up.]

Thanks! These guys are kind of strong so it'll be nice not to have any horrible bruises tomorrow morning. I wish my magical person could do cool things [She motions to Ares, who bashes another zombie] All he can really do is hit people, and I can do that myself fine.

So you wanna try getting off this rooftop?

[Kaiji was standing on top of a car, swinging a shovel at any zombies that dared come near him. His Persona hovered nearby, blasting the monsters with lightning spells on his command.

He's also trying not to freak the hell out. He practically roars out his spells and his blows with the shovel, as tears streamed down his face. Kaiji has a flair for drama.]

[Saori hears Kaiji's shouting and looks over the roof top she's on.]

Kaiji!

[She has Brigid set an incoming zombie on fire and she smacks it away with her bat.]

Up here!

[He looks up briefly to see Saori, before his eyes go back searching for more undead attackers.]

Saori! How did you get up there? Is that building unlocked?

Fire escape! There should be one near you!

[Saori sees a zombie approaching Kaiji from behind.]

Duck! I'll cover you, just hurry and get up here!

[Another agi spell and another one bite the dust.]

[Kaiji barely manages to get out of the way in time, scrambling off the car and heading towards the fire escape. He has to outrun and outleap the zombies. He make look skinny, but months of hard labor back home put him in good enough shape to jump up, grab the ladder and start climbing up.]

[Saori casts Agi spells one after another to make sure none of them get close to Kaiji. When he finally joins her, she's immediately worried.]

You're not hurt anywhere, are you?

[He's panting heavily, and has some scratches, but most of the blood splattered on him isn't his.]

I-I'm okay. Thanks for that. Are you okay?

Y-yeah some how. Here let me tend to some of those scratches.

[She summons Brigid and casts Dia for some healing just to be safe.]

I just hope everyone made it indoors safely. Looks like we might have to wait out the Hour until it's safe.

[Healing spells were still a weird feeling to Kaiji, but he thanked her all the same.],/i>

Guess so. We'll just have to watch out backs. They're so damned fast.

Yeah, looks like we're not dealing with your usual zombies. We're gonna have to make a run for it. We can't use our Personae's powers infinitely so save up whatever energy we have left if worse comes to worse.

[Asuka, for her part, is trying hard at crowd control, summoning Brynhildr and blasting the zombies encroaching on her nightly hack-and-slash with mass fire spells.]

Brenne!

[The image of the female warrior hefts its spear, and a Maragi spell burns away at the group of animate corpses.]

I hate zombies!

Asuka!

[Saori can't help but feel slightly jealous that Asuka's Persona can do higher magic like Maragi. Beggers can't be choosers though, so she'll make do with what she's got and help her trainer.]

I think most of us hate zombies too! Where did they come from?!

[That comment totally said Maha Agi, by the way.]

I don't know, but I like them even less than the stupid Shadows!

[Asuka catches her breath and the end of the sentence, then charges forth to behead one of the crispier targets, backpedaling towards Saori afterward in an effort to keep her back free of enemies.]

We're seriously outnumbered here. Maybe we should see if there's anyone out here too and group up.

[Now she's wishing she replaced her bat with a crowbar or something more suited for anti-zombie combat. In the meantime, she alternates between Agi and a baseball bat aimed at their face.]

We're always outnumbered. I am getting thirsty, though.

[In all honesty, every Maha Agi takes a good deal out of Asuka. It's not physical strain like Brynhildr's Holy Arrow spell, but she realizes she's running low on "ammo" as she blasts a hole through the mob with another area fire spell.]

I can axe these stupid things all night, but I don't know if that's enough...anyway, there's a gap! Let's go find someone else.

Let's just hope they'll fade out when the hour's done.

[Saori looks over to where Asuka points out the opening and makes a dash for it.]

I'm not sure how much longer my bat can handle this. I'll back you up with healing if it breaks.
