Craving this disaster: [Closed]

WHO: Ryuunosuke Uryuu and Caster (Gilles de Rais.)
WHEN: Dark Hour, Oct. 17.
WHERE: The city streets
SUMMARY: Ryuunosuke has his most important person back, and what better way to celebrate than destruction?
RATING: PG-13 for- it's these two, they're going to talk about murder, torture, and possibly worse things.
WARNINGS: Talk about murder, torture, and possibly worse things.

Finally, finally, finally. Once he'd met Caster, it was hard to go without him even though they'd only spent a short amount of time together in Fuyuki. It was unbelievable to have him here in Prospero. He had so many things to show him, like this.

They were outside when the Dark Hour hit, having completed their tour, and were able to watch the change firsthand: the sickly light, the transformation of the few people who were still outside into coffins, the warped nature of everything around them.

Ryuunosuke bounced on the balls of his feet. "Give it a minute, I guess there aren't too many out tonight... How do you like the place so far, sir?"

Caster had watched in fascination as the town changed. What power it must have taken to create an effect like this. He wondered if the people felt anything. Were they, for this time, actually dead? Sleeping? Or-

Did they feel it and simply forget, out of their unwillingness to accept that something might be wrong? It took him a minute to realise he'd been addressed and he flashed a smile at the boy. "I must admit it is a pleasant place to be, especially at this time. What are you waiting for? People who escaped this curse?"

"Ah, the short memories of ordinary people," he tsked. "Those who blindly wish to forget everything that seems strange to them are cursed by themselves to never see its beauty."

His gaze flickered constantly around, taking in everything. "Then whom do you seek?" A beat. "Does this happen every night?"

The sight of those twisted beings only piqued his interest, caught his attention and held it. He had commanded beings like this himself. There was no fear. Why would there be?

He watched as the Creatures approached, his attention snapping to Ryuunosuke as he called out the name. The burst of energy as the demon appeared was almost tangible. "Oho. So this is the demon you summoned!" he exclaimed, admiring it. A vetala, of all things. A twisted spirit like that... ah~. It seemed Ryuunosuke was drawn to this type of thing. "How did you do that, if powers are torn away here?"

A wide smile on his face, he claps his hands together. "Oh yes. I quite like it! How kind of this place to compensate in such a way."

"This place seems to be perfect~," he mused aloud. Infinite fun, Jeanne here, Ryuunosuke here... Even the loss of his powers could be compensated for. "Tell me. How did you summon that?"

"Hm... I see. I will need to figure this out," he intoned solemnly. As if it were some kind of great ritual.

A low chuckle and he nods firmly. "Yes, this is my specialty after all."

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes. I would like to see what your demon is capable of!" he declared. "Let us go forth and see what resides here."

Caster followed without hesitation, watching with delight as the Shadows were destroyed. Ryuunosuke's work showed skill; he truly was an artist of death. The agonised screams of the Shadows as they died were music to his ears, a glorious symphony of damnation and death. It drew pleased tremors through him, delight in his eyes as he watched. Quite the turn of the tables, but he didn't mind. Seeing Ryuunosuke work was more than entertaining enough.

"I followed you into the afterlife," he intoned, entirely at ease. "By the hand of the holy maiden herself." Yes, he had recognised that light. Such power... no, he had no concerns about his death. "It was a magnificent battle."

"As the Holy Grail War goes, I suspect this is the first time that Servants have teamed up against one another," Caster mused, lips twisting into a garish smile. He offered a light bow. "Always happy to please."

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-10-19 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That look only makes his smirk widen garishly. "I wonder if we can top it here. Perhaps this time you will be able to join in."

Of course, he would need to make sure Ryuunosuke was not caught in the crossfire. However, with the benefit of these demons, the man was not in as dangerous a position as he was before. Oh yes, that was true. The risk was not nearly as high - even if it was still there. "How much can your demon accomplish?"

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-11-22 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
"So the more you kill, the stronger they get... fascinating!" Excitement laced Caster's words and he delightedly clapped his hands together. There was a delightful sort of irony to it. Most likely these beings were similar in nature to Shadows - only they seemed to have little will of their own. And to power up in such a twisted way... ah, it drew shivers down his spine. "You named it Vetala?"

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-11-22 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
In response, Caster only chuckled at first, a low, echoing chuckle that swelled to fill the emptiness of the night. It was a perfect name for it, considering its master. "So you have summoned a spirit of similar kinship!"

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-11-22 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"You were not the only one who 'got lucky' when it came to that summoning," he mused, nodding firmly.

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-11-22 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Easily, really. Careful manipulation, and then, once the Grail was at hand, to eliminate the Master and use the prana generated by his book to stand on his own long enough to achieve his goal. But then, he hadn't needed the Grail any more once Jeanne had returned. He had been so very lucky.

"It was lucky for you that you were not." There was a playfully dark note to his voice. "But it was much pleasanter for me to find my Master to be such a pleasant fellow."

[identity profile] lovecrafthomage.livejournal.com 2011-11-22 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of course!" he declared passionately, hands lifted towards the eerie sky. "Why would we halt? Simply because things have changed? Yet ever more they stay the same! A different site, a different situation, and yet still we are here. What have we to fear? Death?"

A chortle. "No, no, Ryuunosuke. We have no reason to halt our pleasantries."
