Dungeon crawl fun-times!

WHO: Everyone ever. Essentially everyone who responded to the planning post for this.
WHAT: Some dork wanted to go exploring in the dungeon. For some reason, people are going with him.
WHEN: Monday, December 19th
WHERE: The business district/ the dungeon
RATING: Probably PG? PG-13? There'll be some shadow fights, and some of the characters may have dirty mouths. Other than that, pretty harmless.


(Since there are 3 teams, we're assuming they're all going in at slightly different times. There'll be a separate thread for each team below. In the first comment, I'll put a list of the members on that team to minimize confusion, then you just tag the appropriate thread. The following description is of the initial entrance of the dungeon. This is what all groups will see upon entering. If you're curious, I did in fact ask a mod for this description.)

The warehouse in question is a dark, lonely building that has suffered the neglect of abandonment. The inside is cavernous, with almost everything stripped away. Here and there, a few broken crates are scattered across the floor, whatever they contained long gone. In the silence, the echo of your footsteps seems deafening. It is not long before you are drawn to the staircase in the center of the room. It seems almost out of place, the concrete stairs leading straight down into the darkness below. It may be your imagination, but you can almost hear the shadows lurking in it's depths. What will you do?

"Well this is the spot. Everyone's here and ready?" Even Saori's persona could heal, she brought extra first aid supplies in a messenger bag. Weapon wise, she brought her trusty metal baseball bat. She still was confident with another weapon despite her training.

"Not much of a dungeon..." Cirno looks very disappointed, expecting something more along the lines of sliding block puzzles and moving statues and your usual dungeon tropes.

"Though I'm liking the sound of what's ahead... I've been itching to get my hands really dirty since I got here!" She stretches, slashing at the air a few times with her Watermelon-y sword.

"That's what I thought too, but apparently this is the place. I'm sure they'll have something to make up for the lack of a dungeon feel." Saori was just glad they were only dealing with Shadows.

"Also I don't believe we've met. I'm Saori."

"And I'm Cirno! Pleased to meetcha, Saori!" She excitedly shakes Saori's hand.

"Yeah, a dungeon with just monsters is lame! I'm sure there'll be some kind of traps or things on the way..."

The first thing that Cirno will notice out of the ordinary is some stairs down. What do, little ice fairy?

Cirno will very obviously go down the stairs. She's been in enough dungeons to know that the real action always starts after the first room. She'll give a signal to come over.

"Alright everyone, stay behind me. I'm sure I can take anything lurking here down!"

She'll cautiously advance down the stairs, keeping her weapon in front of her.

Well this might have been a bad idea in the end, but Chie couldn't leave Yukiko by herself, nope.

"Is everybody here now?

...do we really want to go in there?"

"Of course we do, Chie-chan!"

Naturally, her best friend is here to encourage her. Yukiko's already given her word that she would attend, but she's just a tad bit frightful of the danger involved. What kind of princess investigates without her prince, what kind of girl slips into danger without her knight to protect her, etc?

She's gotta be afraid of danger, who wouldn't anyway? But Chie would be there no matter what, because protecting Yukiko came first, and now they were stranded in the island and not really prepared to go back home, the more reason to do that well.

"I hope it does't get that bad, yes..."

"You'd better be prepared for the worst. Or did you already forget those damn things chasing us around town the other night, Amagi-senpai?"

And he's the man of the hour, trotting over to the group with a pretty big steel pipe lugged over his shoulder. It was probably the best thing he could find.

"This is it. You are all prepared, aren't you?" Issei asked. "It may be difficult to get back out again quickly once we're below. Is anyone making a map?"

As the most adult and responsible member of the group, all he could do was keep them from getting into too much trouble.

"I've got everything I need! Do you really think we need to make a map though?"

John peered down the staircase, trying to get his eyes to adjust to the dim light. Finally, something exciting to do! He had two hammers slung into the belt loops on his jeans. It wasn't Zillyhoo, but they were better than nothing. After a moment, he gives up his quest to see what's ahead and turns to the rest of his team.

"So.... anyone bring a flashlight?"

Sakurako entered the dungeon alongside the others wearing her cheerleading uniform (http://i1044.photobucket.com/albums/b448/Dante1280/Negima%20group/Sakurako%20Shiina/17-ShiinaSakurako.jpg), with a lacrosse stick strapped to her back and carrying a small saddlebag full of bocce balls from the sporting goods store.

"Yup! Ready to go!"

Funny. She'd signed up to, to use a less-than-polite term, babysit. Glancing between Kaiji and Miki, she briefly thought that 'babysitting' might turn out to be a... uniquely fitting use of terminology.

Kaoru shrugged. Her eyes went lightless instead of just creepily dilated, but she didn't seem to mind.

"A table." Her expression didn't change. "Any threatening monster would just destroy it."

[ Considering the ruckus the kid stirred last night, he's doing pretty well today! Souji is swinging his sword around like no one's business, even able to hack a few of those menacing dancing hands into shreds! Though when a physical-attack-proof Maya rolls up, Souji will be tugging your sleeve (or touching your forearm if you're not wearing sleeves...) ]

Can you hit that one with magic?
