To begin with, you did not have to do such a thing. You were not operating under coercion, nor was there any lack of alternative means by which to subject the students to combat training. Had you for but a moment given due consideration to how best to accomplish your goals in ways that would remain within the bounds of the law -- at the least, by involving consent -- you would not be in this position to begin with! Ergo, your actions are deserving of punishment; I merely wish it to fit the crime as closely as the circumstances allow.

Furthermore, I cannot in good conscience give a full trial anything but my all. It is a prosecutor's duty to ensure that every facet of a case be brought to light, lest a false verdict be rendered. The man who would twist the truth to serve his own ego... is a man who must remain dead. To be entirely honest, I feel unclean in even considering the compromise that occurs to me.
