What: A belated birthday party for a friend.
When: Saturday evening (January 21st)
Where: One of the many conference rooms downstairs near the hotel lobby.
Rating: PG-13 for language because Kanji will be there?? So at least that.

True to her word, a small conference room has been transformed into a place for a birthday party. It isn't too impressive given the small amount of money she has, but there's a lot of handmade decorations that symbolize just how much time and effort she's placed forth into this. Naturally, this means there are banners that pretty much give away who the birthday boy is, covered in skulls and bright colors. On the table are a few boxes of freshly-delivered pizza and breadsticks. Large bowls full of various chips are laid out and there's a tiny cooler stocked with different kinds of soda and bottles of water. THERE'S ALSO A BIRTHDAY CAKE. Why wouldn't there be? Additionally, there's a hot pot of tea resting on a warmer as well as a larger pot of apple cider.

Yukiko will greet everyone who enters and offer to turn the television on in the room if they get too bored..

OOC: This is an open birthday party log for Kanji! You don't have to necessarily know him since Yukiko announced it publicly, so feel free to show up for free food. Make your own threads and mingle o/ You can use action or prose fyi!

[ Okay, so he is normally against social gatherings especially since the last one was horribly awkward he is never going swimming again okay BUT there is food and it's Yukiko so it's kind of... obligated to be here. So you can probably find him chowing down on some pizza. ]

Kanji-kun! [ Even if she was feeling down earlier, she's cheered up a bit at his presence. He's no Chie, but he's still a familiar face in this strange place, so naturally her mood will gravitate upwards when he's around. ] Is everything to your liking?

[ Seriously Yukiko what were you thinking this guy is hardly deserving of all your hard work and effort he's just some punk ass juvie jeeze.

But on the flipside, it was actually comforting to have someone he at least was familiar with stuck in this weird ass place. ]

I told you not to go so overboard. [ Well, it's overboard for him when his usual birthdays consisted of a super tiny celebration and eating his mom's birthday dishes...] Can't believe you'd actually remember, anyways. I mean, it's saying something when you can't even remember your own birthday and one of your childhood friends does.

Ah, Hello again Kanji. This is that interesting cheese pie common here. [ Garvi is also eating the pizza. ]

Oh, Mister Garviel. [ well how can he not say that the guy is a freaking tower and the not-so-easily-intimidated Kanji is totally intimidated by him. ] You never had pizza before showing up here?

[Minato's just here for the food. And mun needs him to get out more. He gotten some pizza slices and a couple breadsticks, and poured himself some tea. Mostly keeping to himself, but he'll mingle if forced to.]

[Here's Sakurako, strollin' up in like she belongs here. Hey, Yukiko did say it was an open invite, after all, and if there's one thing she loves almost as much as karaoke, it's a party. She's carrying a little gift bag with her.]

[Well, you did say everyone was welcome. So here's John, helping himself to some pizza and chatting with anyone who will put up with him for five seconds. He brought a gift too. Kanji is now the proud owner of a copy of Deep Impact.]

Deep Impact, huh? Never really got to see many American flicks back home.

[ Kanji was never even expecting any gifts at all today so the more that come in, the way more awkward he feels.

It's okay. He has a master form planning in the back of his head. He'll just have to... remember a lot of birthdays. ]
