Neville is wandering around the island, confused and worried. He's lost in some strange world, he's lost without a wand and wandless magic isn't working. There's muggles everywhere, muggle devices everywhere. In fact he woke up with one, some strange little thing with too many buttons that spoke at random intervals. Talking back at it hadn't done anything. He was lost, bruised, and getting more than a little worried.

Eater was out and about too: at this moment she had just finished her shopping, and was carrying a large bag of clothes that obscured her vision enough that she bumped into someone upon exiting the store.

"Ooof! I apologize, sir." She peered around her bag to see if he was alright.

[madethemproud]

Neville turned around, hands raising to make sure she wouldn't drop her load.

"Errm, that's alright." He stepped back when he was sure she wouldn't drop anything. "Are you okay?"

[harpbeat]

"Perfectly fine! Worry yourself not a bit over me." She smiled at him, reassuring.

[madethemproud]

"Alright." He rubbed at a bruise on his cheek, a picture of awkward. She was the fist person to speak to him since he'd arrived, if by accident, and he did have no idea what was going on...

"Excuse me, but do you know where this is? I'm a bit lost."

[harpbeat]

"Oh, so you are a newcomer! Welcome to Prospero. It's an island city, off the coast of the United States of America- assuming that is a name that means anything to you," she added as a bit of an afterthought. "You've been kidnapped."

[madethemproud]

"Kidnapped?" He sputtered, trying to take it in. Kidnapped to America, this didn't look like a Death Eaters plan but he couldn't judge without more. information

[harpbeat]

"Right, kidnapped. By unknown captors for an unknown cause."

Eater wasn't too worried about it, so she didn't feel like she had to make him panic.

[madethemproud]

It was a good thing one of them was calm.

"Oh no." He moaned. "This isn't good."

[harpbeat]

"You become much more used to it with time. What else am I capable of helping you with?" she asked with concern.

[madethemproud]

"You're taking this well." He said, rubbing the back of his head and trying to think. "Even with time, being kidnapped's still being kidnapped."

[harpbeat]

"I've been travelling to many places! This is just a bit of unexpected travel."

...Right, that was definitely how to think of it.

[madethemproud]

"Unexpected travel? Do you even know what these people have planned for us? Or what could happen?"

[harpbeat]

"Certainly. We fight monsters every night."

[madethemproud]

"Monsters. We're suppose to fight monsters."

[harpbeat]

"Yes."

[madethemproud]

"What sorts?"

[harpbeat]

"All sorts! 'Shadows' is the preferred catch-all term, but they generally are bizarre, grotesque, or both."

[madethemproud]

Oh god. He was starting to feel like he was talking to Luna. Only this girl made less sense and there was no feelings of comradeship (or feelings that went beyond that) here to make it charming.

"What? Shadows, what sort of thing...What?"

[harpbeat]

"It would be easier to show you than to explain," she commented. "Unfortunately that's only possible when they appear, at midnight."

[madethemproud]

"Only at midnight." Yup, sounding quite a bit like some certain Lovegood's he knows. "Right."

[harpbeat]

"You should see- well, it's impossible to miss if you're awake at the time, so you'll be bound to see them anyway. But you should probably stay safe when it happens."

[madethemproud]

"How would you stay safe against them?"

[harpbeat]

"I find weaponry to be very useful." Silly boy.

[madethemproud]

"And what weapons do you use against monsters?" He asked flatly. "Don't happen to have any swords laying around?"

[harpbeat]

"You could buy one," Eater answered, thoughtful. "I tend to be more of a bludgeoning type when they're around..."
