Neville is wandering around the island, confused and worried. He's lost in some strange world, he's lost without a wand and wandless magic isn't working. There's muggles everywhere, muggle devices everywhere. In fact he woke up with one, some strange little thing with too many buttons that spoke at random intervals. Talking back at it hadn't done anything. He was lost, bruised, and getting more than a little worried.

Eater was out and about too: at this moment she had just finished her shopping, and was carrying a large bag of clothes that obscured her vision enough that she bumped into someone upon exiting the store.

"Ooof! I apologize, sir." She peered around her bag to see if he was alright.

Neville turned around, hands raising to make sure she wouldn't drop her load.

"Errm, that's alright." He stepped back when he was sure she wouldn't drop anything. "Are you okay?"

[harpbeat]

"Perfectly fine! Worry yourself not a bit over me." She smiled at him, reassuring.

"Alright." He rubbed at a bruise on his cheek, a picture of awkward. She was the fist person to speak to him since he'd arrived, if by accident, and he did have no idea what was going on...

"Excuse me, but do you know where this is? I'm a bit lost."

[harpbeat]

"Oh, so you are a newcomer! Welcome to Prospero. It's an island city, off the coast of the United States of America- assuming that is a name that means anything to you," she added as a bit of an afterthought. "You've been kidnapped."

Thump. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" Even if the little thirteen year old wasn't paying attention herself.

"Sorry!" He grimaced down at the girl, and looked her over to make sure he hadn't hurt her.

Vriska brushed herself off, grumbling a bit. "Yeah, you better be. What the hell, walking around like that? Do your little human eyes not work or something?"

"They work just-" He cuts him self off from the automatic reply, frowning. "I'm new here and lost. I'm sorry I bumped into you."

"Hmph. Of course you're sorry." Vriska got up in his face, checking him over. "Hmmmmmmmm..." Could she use him in any way...

Neville will come across a pizza delivery boy man on break, a bicycle leaned against the wall of a building as he has a smoke. There's a bag strapped to the back rack of the bike, his deliveries snuggled inside. But they can wait. It was cigarette break time. Just one problem - his lighter was dead.

"Hey, you! Got a light?"

"A light? Sorry mate. Don't have my-, um, anything on me."

[genius_idiot]

"Damnit, just my luck..." Kaiji flicked it a few more times, futilely. "I guess that means break time's over. Thanks anyway."

Kaiji paused, looking the man over. "You got that 'I just woke up in a strange town and have no idea what's goin' on' look in your eyes."

"That obvious?" He muttered, shoulders drooping.

Kaiji shrugged. "I've been here awhile, and I've seen enough people with the same expression, I guess. Just looking the place over? Has anyone told you what's goin' on yet?"

Walking back from work, Neah noticed this confused boy passing by him. The confused look was familiar upon newcomers of Prospero. Upon seeing this -- He, in good conscious built from being here, could not simply leave him wandering Prospero. Instead, he turned his heel and shouted.

"Excuse me, Young man?" Course, every "young man" on the block turned their head and looked at Neah. Ah well.

Neville, it just so happened, was one of the people who turned to look. You know, being as he was relatively young and male. Then he took a second to scan the several others who'd turned as well and wondered if it was presumptuousness to think it was him being shouted at.

Upon noticing that others looked his way, Neah made it apparent that he was talking to Neville when he pointed at him with a small smile.

"You there. The one that looks confused."

If only that wasn't something Neville was used to hearing. Neville tried to hide his grimace, and straightened. "Yes sir?"

"Are you new to the island?"

Approaching him, yes. He did not seem dangerous in the least. If anything, he had this sort of sweet charm to him, so Neah figured he had nothing to worry about.

Chitose has been doing a little exploring - mind, for her that entails merely actually moving about the hotel, rather than staying locked tightly up in the room she shares with Itsuki.

So if Neville happens to be in the lobby of the hotel, he may see a small ten-year-old girl sitting in an armchair far too big for her, arms folded on the chair's arm and chin resting on them, watching the world go by with great, if timid, interest.

Neville, after having a very confusing conversation with Eater, had finally found his way to the hotel. He had been told not the expect much from the lodging, but a room to himself sounded better than what he'd had at the Hogwarts dorms and certainly sounded better than the crowded conditions of the Room of Requirement. He poked around the lobby, deciding it paled in comparison to the common rooms back home, looking for signs of life. When he spotted the little girl, he put on a smile and waved awkwardly from the other side of the room. She couldn't have been older than a first year and he vehemently hoped she wasn't in the same predicament as he.

"Erm, hello there."

Chitose had been aware of his presence in the lobby, of course - her easily spooked nature makes her generally overaware of anyone around her. But she hadn't expected to be spoken to, and it makes her jump and look around, quite startled. When she sees the boy looking at her from across the room, she forces herself to take a deep breath to calm her racing heart and smile back, shyly tucking her hair behind one ear.

"Hello."

His smile dropped a little at her skittishness, but he could remember being young and nervous about the world around him. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just wandered if you could help me, a bit?"

Well, she definitely does like helping people. Chitose takes another deep breath, determined to do this important task, and nods. "Okay. What do you need help with?"
