[ The past week was a strange one for Arturia Pendragon. Not only did she spend a week out of Prospero with another man who was a dear friend, but upon her return she was whisked off to a masquerade with a different man. Now here she was a couple days later moving from a different man's home into another man's home.

Love sure was complicated.

If she was asked by any of them, her response would be the same. Shirou Emiya was the boy she was in love with. Her boyfriend. Her significant other. It was unfair of her to deny his older self, the one with the darker skin and hair worn from his magecraft, so there's no possible way she could. She would be a hypocrite then! That alone was what opened the floodgate.

For now she could never deny a knight who's been at her side not only during their stay here, but during the Fourth Holy Grail War. Additionally, the changes in the golden one were worthy of note and if it was all done in order to gain her favor, it would be cruel to the good people of Prospero to deny him. ]

Shirou, is it possible to love more than one person? [ It was time to default her questions to the teenage boy who's lived half the amount of time she has, but surely he has more experience in this sort of thing. ] I am curious as to your opinion on the matter.

[ As though that wasn't a difficult question at all to ask, she continues to carry a box almost too large for her within her arms, paying attention to her surroundings so that she didn't crash. Enjoy that icebreaker, Shirou. ]

Huh...?

[That question alone caused Shirou to stop walking up the stairs, part from confusion and another from just straight up surprise that Saber actually asked him something about that.

Sure he tends to be a moron half the time, but even an idiot can see Diarmuid's attraction to her, Gilgamesh's is something he's familiar with, but really. Its kinda obvious that Diarmuid has the hots for Saber.]

Well, I'm not saying that its wrong...

But some people might not take too kindly to that kind of proposition.

So there is nothing wrong about one person being in love with multiple people? [ Shirou, you dumbass. These are not the things to say to your girlfriend who may or may not be confused about the topic of love as a whole. ] Well, of course not. Who would wish to share their beloved?

In the end, there can only be one husband and one wife. [ She'll stop herself since he did, following after him. ] How would you feel if you were to be in love with two people at once?

[Wow, he still can't believe the fact that of all people, Saber is the one that refers to him for love advice.]

I'll try to get them to understand the situation, but... normally, people just chooses one over the other.

[ She doesn't really understand it save for when it comes to marriage. Affairs were a common enough thing, but often kept in secret. ]

I would not make you choose between me or another. It would make you unhappy and my heart could not bear that.

One can't expect to love two people at once, that's just the way it is.

[Why is she asking all of these questions.]

Sab- No, Arturia, did something happened?

[It must be serious when Shirou drops her class name and stares at her with concern.]

[ It was nice, she has to admit, hearing him say her name like that. The way Arturia spills from his mouth is entrancing and almost enough to keep her from telling him the truth.

In the end though, Arturia Pendragon must do what is right. ]

Yes. [ Obvious answer. ] During the masquerade, Diarmuid and I had a talk about something that was unexpected.

...

[...Ah. He recalled that the day he returned, him and Diarmuid had a fistfight that started from him having seemingly saddened Arturia by his disappearance.

And that he realized that Diarmuid actually loved Arturis.]

He confessed his love to you, did he?

I eventually pulled it from his lips, yes.

[ She doesn't want to give Shirou the wrong impression, especially in the manner in which he approaches it. He speaks as though he's known this entire time and with that, she can't send Diarmuid into a sealed coffin. ]

You sound as though you have known though. [ With that she shifts the box closer to her form as though holding it would make her feel better. ] Have I been so blind as to neglect those around me?

[There's silence to that as Shirou continued walking past her, still carrying his boxes.]

No, Saber. Its just that I can see Diarmuid's affection to you as a sign of love even if he denied it otherwise.

Shirou... [ Her voice dips even more as she speaks his name. ] His wife is within this realm, so you know as well as I that he cannot act out on his feelings.

[He's going to just put the box down and massage his temple.

All this revelations is hurting his head.]

Knowing Diarmuid, I have a feeling he's going to do something idiotic.

[ Coming from Shirou, that's impressive. Indignantly though, she'll defend her waifu. ]

He will not! [ Boy, she will CROSS BLADES over this. ] He feels really broken up over this too... I think. He seems to be pretty upset over the idea of making things complicated for me at least!

[Sighing, Shirou is going to stop to think for a while.]

Is there anything else you want to tell me, Saber?

[He has a feeling that Diarmuid is just the tip of the iceberg.]

Shirou, you know the story of my past, do you not? [ Her voice is quiet, but not dismissive. ] Emotions do not come to me easily and I fear that I may be encountering more trouble than I thought. I know without question that I love you, yet I wonder what it is I feel for Diarmuid.

[ And Archer. Guh, what was she supposed to say to that? She loves Shirou, so she must love Archer. It made that much sense in her mind, but yet it wasn't fair. ]

I am sorry to burden you with such a terrible thing on a day that is meant to be a happy one.

[Man, to think this day is going to be a fine day...]

Its alright, Saber. Guess this means we're going to have a find a way so this doesn't get out of control.

[ Now she's confused by that sort of statement. Whatever did he mean by out of control? Did he mean to imply their emotions would fly out of control? Did he meant to imply their behavior? Their actions? To make sure not too many else fell for the charismatic king? ]

I think it will be alright should things naturally flow into place. [ It was a naive way of thinking, but it's the best answer she has for now. ] Instead of trying to force it by speaking about it. I just wished for you to be prepared.

I... don't think it works like that, Saber.

[Sighing and now continuing to make his way up the stairs.]

[ Her voice is stern, her demeanor shifting into a more serious one. ]

Are you worried I will be... [ She pauses as she tries to consider how to word it. ] Are you worried I will be unfaithful?

[Considering that she had been loyal to him from the start, and the love they grew to realize by the end, he is just that naive to believe that Saber won't turn on him.]

[ And just like that it was decided. Any possible emotions she may feel towards Diarmuid would be forever locked away and the key tossed to depths that could never be reached. She's repressed her emotions from an entire country for ten years, so keeping them from a man shouldn't be too difficult. ]

Good. [ A nod. ] You have not a thing to worry about.

Anyways, let's finish moving these boxes, alright?

[He's a bit awkward, so he's going to try and change the subject.]

Well, there are two bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms and a kitchen that also serves as a dining room.

Ah, so we will not share a room?

[ That's to be expected really. He was so against the two sleeping together before, so why would things change? She had grown all too used to curling up with a lion or her left hand. ]

Actually I was thinking of making that second room as my workshop.

[He's already let her sleep together a few times before, remember...? And he still needs to fix the lion cub problem...]
