open // such a beautiful crime
Who: Diarmuid, his sparkly butterfly-attracting father, and anyone who wanders by.
Where: Somewhere along the beach
When: Evening of 5/30
Summary: MAGICAL SPARKLY PARTY OF FRIENDSHIP AND JOY
Log:
[Some people may be attracted by the fact that there's a bonfire currently set on the shoreline, or that there's a whole lot of food and drinks around. Or they could just see a certain someone and his overly-sparkly father nearby and decide to approach one of them. Diarmuid didn't expect many people to simply happen upon them, but if that occurred they'd of course be more than welcome. Hence the extra food and whatnot.]
[Hope nobody's allergic to the critical levels of pretty going on here. Maybe some delicious food will help that.]

Oh? I would disagree... There are many flawless things in this world.

Canst thou not but see the beauty inherent in nature, even now?

I'm sorry. I'm afraid I am not quite as optimistic as I used to be.

[He smiles at that.] Indeed you cannot, at least when it comes to this.

Some decent food will cheer thee up. You look as if you have not eaten for a long time, o my son.

And yet you have not.
Therefore, I shall. It shall be like old times. I shall even sing thee to sleep if thou wishes it.

...Father, please. That will not be even remotely necessary.

[He fixes Diarmuid with a stern face.]
Thou are not eating properly, nor sleeping properly. You are unhappy, o Diarmuid, and as on edge as a rabbit expecting the teeth of fate to cleft through its body.
[Be a good boy, Diarmuid.]
'tis a sad day when one could consider themself doing 'well enough' when one is in a situation such as this.

...I'm sorry, Father. I am doing the best that I can, but I fear many people rely on me in the absence of those far more suited for a role such as that.

You take too much upon thee, o Diarmuid, yet I know it to be impossible to dissuade thee from this. But I will make sure that you are at least healthy and as happy as a man can be in this situation. For thou art my son, and I love thee, o Diarmuid.
Would that I could have reached out even unto my own father to ask his aid in thy situation. But I can reach him not.

F-Father...you know I could not truly in good conscience accept such aid no matter the situation. I have survived the months leading up to this day, and I will continue to survive on my own as long as I remain here.
