SUMMARY: Saber eats all of the food. Result of this post. Saber invites people for a potluck except she calls it a feast because she is from the twelfth century.

[ There are no words, Saber decides within seconds, to convey the sharp pain in her heart from his words. Funny how someone who's been pierced by a weapon capable of striking the heart to never heal can inflict the very same state upon another.

For the first time in her life she's felt her appetite leave her as she places her plate down on the table, food completely untouched. The boy who's brought a new view of the (her) world doesn't exercise any restraint in bringing it crashing down upon her. ]

You do not ask. [ His tone was hardly that. It was an accusation through and through. ] Instead, you choose to believe another.

[ Someone. It could have been anyone, but there were very few people who knew what Shirou meant to her. Lancer may have an inkling of it, but Archer. There was no doubt in her mind, but there was plenty of it within his. Was the distance really so strained? A death when they both knew she wasn't going to return, so he must have moved on.

Yet, he says otherwise. Yet he accuses her of such blasphemy. ]

There is little importance in telling you the truth when you have your own opinion of matters you know nothing about. It is as the lady says, chivalry is to be mocked in these modern times.

I will tell you this much, Shirou, so that you may hold these words close to your heart. A knight will always love and care for another knight in a manner you will not find duplicated in your time. There are two men in this realm that understand me greater than yourself - Lancer, and a knight from my own time by the name of Gawain.

They understand because they have gone through what I have. Sacrifices made and a life without love. Knights bond together because they endure all the cruelties of the world side by side, it is this bond that allows them to walk through mentally unscathed.

To answer your prior question though...

[ Holding a grudge was something she normally could not do, after all her hands were full with shield and sword. However, Shirou took the one thing she held dear (loyalty) and ripped the life from it without mercy. ]

My loyalties waiver when your own do apparently.
