[Ingrid's already at the specified location, the range near the police station, inspecting the guns she's laid out a bench. Along side them are goggles, and other protective gear. Girl's got her business face on.]

[Sanaki has dressed casually for once, rather than in layers of fancy clothing it's hard to get protective gear over. She arrives promptly, and immediately heads towards Ingrid.]

Good afternoon.

[Another young girl has also shown up, and is jacking your thread.]

Okay, if the ten year old gets a gun, I'm getting one too. No offense.

I mean, I already know how to shoot and everything.

[Well, Kaiji has turned out, because maybe someday he should learn to use something other than a baseball bat and his Persona.]

[Having caught the video message, and having already been taken with the idea of how to use a firearm, Zeal was there promptly. Although she's not completely sure what to expect.]

Ah. This is the place, then.

[She approaches Ingrid, smiling... mostly pleasantly. As pleasantly as she tends to be able to smile when facing someone so very serious.]

[Ingrid looks up with a slight smile, setting down the pistol she was inspecting.]

It's the best place to practice.

That was part of the point, dear. These kids don't know how to fight and need to know how to protect themselves.

[She smiles.]

But of course I don't mind you coming by.

[It doesn't take long for April to arrive, and she gives the older woman a small wave and a smile as she approaches.]

It was designed for it, yes? Am I not mistaken?

[She could possibly be. Shooting ranges aren't at all familiar to her. When she glances around, it's obvious by the expression on her face that this is all very novel to her.]

Should there be introductions first? Or shall we get started?

Hello dear. I'm glad to see you could make it. [Ingrid walks up to great her]

Hello! And of course, there's no way I would miss it. [She gives the older woman a grin.]

So, what would you like me to do?

Yes, it was. Mostly for police training actually.

If you'd like to talk to the others, that's well enough for me. But we can just get on with it, if you'd prefer. I'm Ingrid, by the way.

I believe you could be of help to the older students who've come. They'd have an easier time with the heavier guns and the recoil.

Police. The force of law within this realm... ah. [There were still some pieces of information that needed to be fitted into place, when it came to her understanding of Prospero. This was one of them, apparently.]

[Mumbled, a bit peevishly.] I could fight if there was only magic...

Not ones that operate in quite the same way, no.

[Oooh, and an open offer to ask questions. Excellent.] I am curious as to how much experience you have in using these weapons. How many years? And am I correct in assuming that your world is reasonably close to this one, taken as a whole?

I've been using guns for decades. Over forty years now. [She sighs.] So a very long time.

[She picks up another gun and cloth, beginning to clean it again.]
My world is very much like this one. One or two major differences, but the countries and history mostly line up.

[Zeal looks pleased and impressed.] Such experience! We're fortunate to have a teacher such as yourself.

[She watches the gun cleaning curiously. Ah, it made sense that a weapon ought to be maintained....] That is fortunate. I cannot say that I share your luck. This world is unlike my own in many, many ways.

I guess those of us coming from worlds without magic are at an advantage, then.

Anyway, let me see one of those and I'll demonstrate.

[Ingrid handed over a pistol and some ear plugs to Asuka with a smirk.]

Well, young lady. Let's see what you can do.

[She handed another set of earplugs to Sanaki.]

It can be a bit loud, so I suggest putting those in. You don't want to damage your hearing at your age.

Natürlich.

[Asuka dons the earplugs and hefts the gun with the trigger discipline only a person raised by people who use guns regularly can have out of habit, checking the safety and magazine. NERV doesn't issue sidearms to minors, but she's still clearly familiar.]

Got your earplugs in, ladies?

[He smirked a little.] I said I wanted to learn, right? Nothing wrong with using my baseball bat, but I think I might need something that hits harder.

And you will. That baseball bat will get you killed and I don't want her to be upset.

I ain't going to get killed. I still got my Persona to back me up. She's getting pretty strong. But I still want to be better at defending myself and others.
