Under The Influence Of Cupid. ♥

Who: Beatrice and Gilgamesh
Where: Gilgamesh's Condo
When: Around 7:30pm.
What: Valentine's Day shenanigans commence when one slightly love struck witch goes in search of the most ill-tempered king.
Rating: PG-13
Status: Closed

Beatrice stood just outside of the door of the condo and battled with herself internally.

This is a bad idea. Isn't it okay to keep some things to yourself, Beatrice? Can't you control your feet and the direction they take? No, not when they're being led by your heart, right? He's just going to tell you to leave. But at least then you can say you tried, isn't that true? If you try and nothing comes of it, you've lost nothing.

She'd rest her hand over her chest, feeling the sigh fill her frame and then escape ruggedly.

You've talked to him a hundred times. Stop being such a child.

With that, there would be a gentle rap to Gilgamesh's door.

Of all the people that could have possibly ended up on his doorstep. It just had to be her, didn't it? Under normal circumstances, he would simply slam the door right in her hideous face. After all, he had begun to grow tired of dealing with her nearly unending mockery of everything he did. What did she know, and who was she to look down upon him? He was the King of Heroes, damn it.

But, no. Something was off here. Enough so to warrant mild curiousity. And so he would take a look outside as if making sure noone actually saw her before inviting her inside.

"Really, something of importance? And you're coming to me? I suppose you have aroused my curiosity. What's on your mind?"

Closing the door behind him, he'll make his way back over to the couch and lazily flop upon it. Yes, he had company. But it was his place, after all. It wasn't as if he was going to change his behavior for anyone.

"Of course. Some kings never tire of unrewarding work."

He could barely stand his job, how did that woman manage all of hers? Not that it was really his concern anymore. It was actually nice to have the place to himself. He was free to do as he pleased without any company beyond the lion cubs.

His eyes traveled across the room before finally settling on her form, somewhat amused by this odd behavior of hers. Of course, he wouldn't put it past her to try putting on an act. Some women were like that, weren't they? But he was no fool, and he knew her tricks all too well.

"You've told me countless times what a despicable man I am, and now you're here trying to confess such things. Are you serious?"

"Stop."

He's not exactly sure why he commanded her to do such. Perhaps he was actually interested in why she would go out of her way to visit him? Why she would even be joking around like this in the first place? None of this was adding up, really. Even for someone like her, it didn't seem right.

"You came here to say something. Get it off your chest. It doesn't matter how nonsensical it may be. Speak your mind. I'll listen."

Well, at least until he decides she's completly delusional and possibly on drugs, that is.

Please Gilgamesh is such a gentleman. There will be no snide comments, only a warm bit of laughter. Not mocking in the least bit. No, he's actually smiling without some sort of hideous intent for once. It's probably a good thing she isn't looking at him, huh? It may just end up making things worse for her.

"Those feelings are perfectly natural, aren't they? Some would wonder why it's taken this long for you to finally confess them."

He's not going to stop her if she actually wishes to leave. It's her choice, after all. Though it would be a shame to leave after all of this, wouldn't it?
