Under The Influence Of Cupid. ♥
Who: Beatrice and Gilgamesh
Where: Gilgamesh's Condo
When: Around 7:30pm.
What: Valentine's Day shenanigans commence when one slightly love struck witch goes in search of the most ill-tempered king.
Rating: PG-13
Status: Closed
Beatrice stood just outside of the door of the condo and battled with herself internally.
This is a bad idea. Isn't it okay to keep some things to yourself, Beatrice? Can't you control your feet and the direction they take? No, not when they're being led by your heart, right? He's just going to tell you to leave. But at least then you can say you tried, isn't that true? If you try and nothing comes of it, you've lost nothing.
She'd rest her hand over her chest, feeling the sigh fill her frame and then escape ruggedly.
You've talked to him a hundred times. Stop being such a child.
With that, there would be a gentle rap to Gilgamesh's door.

But, no. Something was off here. Enough so to warrant mild curiousity. And so he would take a look outside as if making sure noone actually saw her before inviting her inside.
"Really, something of importance? And you're coming to me? I suppose you have aroused my curiosity. What's on your mind?"
no subject
"I see Saber's still out for the evening, then?"
She was thankful for that. There was no way she could get anything done with her around.
She didn't dare turn back to him. Perhaps she could get said what she needed to say without having to do so.
"I've been a bother to you thus far, haven't I? I've been cruel, I know. So then...I suppose...there's no way I could convince you...that I've grown fond of you...that I..."
Her voice might have trailed off. This wasn't as simple as she had expected.

"Of course. Some kings never tire of unrewarding work."
He could barely stand his job, how did that woman manage all of hers? Not that it was really his concern anymore. It was actually nice to have the place to himself. He was free to do as he pleased without any company beyond the lion cubs.
His eyes traveled across the room before finally settling on her form, somewhat amused by this odd behavior of hers. Of course, he wouldn't put it past her to try putting on an act. Some women were like that, weren't they? But he was no fool, and he knew her tricks all too well.
"You've told me countless times what a despicable man I am, and now you're here trying to confess such things. Are you serious?"
no subject
No, this will have to be ignored. This has to be fleeting. He already thinks she's a bother and now he'll think she's crazy as well.
"N-No, of course not. I'm sorry. Please forget that I came here. I'll see myself out."
She pressed her hand over her mouth.
Don't let anything else out. This is a disaster.
The door was only a few steps away. She could silently slip out and hopefully be gone by the time he got up. After a sigh, she'd attempt just that.

He's not exactly sure why he commanded her to do such. Perhaps he was actually interested in why she would go out of her way to visit him? Why she would even be joking around like this in the first place? None of this was adding up, really. Even for someone like her, it didn't seem right.
"You came here to say something. Get it off your chest. It doesn't matter how nonsensical it may be. Speak your mind. I'll listen."
Well, at least until he decides she's completly delusional and possibly on drugs, that is.
no subject
Fine. If he wanted an explanation, she'd give him one. Perhaps she could still make it to the door before he made a snide comment about it.
"Very well. I'm in a predicament I'm hardly familiar with. I-It's you. I haven't been able to get you out of my mind lately. In fact, I think of you constantly. I long to be near you...to touch you...to talk to you. I don't even know how to conduct myself anymore.
Please...don't make me go on. Let me leave."
no subject
"Those feelings are perfectly natural, aren't they? Some would wonder why it's taken this long for you to finally confess them."
He's not going to stop her if she actually wishes to leave. It's her choice, after all. Though it would be a shame to leave after all of this, wouldn't it?
no subject
"...Like you almost expected it. Perhaps it...it took me a little longer to notice it. I-I don't expect you to respond to this. However...I do appreciate you being gracious. You've got more royal qualities than I give you credit for."
She'd return his smile, a bit more composed than a moment before. After which, she'd make her way out of his door. This bit of contact, it was enough for her, at least.
