Dinner for Two Kings
WHO: Saori, Gilgamesh, Arturia and anyone who wants to crash it.
WHAT: Saori finally returns the favor to Gilgamesh for Miki's fine money
WHEN: Thursday, March 8th, 8:00 PM
WHERE: Hotel lounge
WARNINGS: none yet
With Saori finally recovering from the trauma of the last event, she finally decided it was time to pay Gilgamesh back for the money he gave her earlier. Realizing she had to make a dinner of large scale, she recruited the help of several local chefs. The preparation started early Wednesday morning so everything just needed to be cooked in time.
By the time Gilgamesh and Arturia arrived, there was a very long table with many dishes waiting for them. There was even a cart full of wine bottles that were recommended for her dishes. The food ranged from Japanese to Western food and all made with different methods. Steaks, pasta, rice, salads...and the dessert was already waiting in the wings. She took great care to pay attention to the seasonal ingredients and give them the proper attention they need.
Saori barely just got cleaned up and greeted the two when they entered.
"Welcome. Dinner is served."

Yes, she has many knights who would slay the man for dragging her along even if it was for something as innocent as this. So she's just a tad bit stunned when they arrive.
"What is the meaning of this, Gilgamesh?"
no subject
He'll return the greeting with as slight of a bow as he can get away with, before gazing upon the long table filled with food. Now, if it were just him, this would certainly be enough. But consider it's for Saber, he... got the feeling things might not end too well. Time to let the chips fall where they may.
"Thank you, Saori. Everything seems to be in order. Have a seat, Arturia."
He'll be gentleman enough to sit her down, but after he's done he'll be setting himself near the wine cart. Because truth be told? He'll probably need it before the night's gone.
"I planned this feast a few months ago. It took some times, but I can't let good food go to waste, can I? Eat to your hearts content."

Yes, us. She's not bold enough to think he did it with her entirely in mind, oh but food is the way to her heart. This was beyond the level of Shirou and each dish looked better than the last she glanced at, her gaze traveling across the table.
"A kind gesture of this nature... what is the meaning behind it?" That's what really gets to her, as she neglects the food to pay him the most attention. "A king can never submit to another king, so why?"
no subject
Rather, that's what he had in mind when he first planned it however long ago. He had long forgotten the actual reason. To try and win her favor back? A simple gesture to show he wasn't such a bad person? Ah, if only he could recall. But anything will do for now, won't it? So he'll simply choose to humor the woman with an answer she might agree with.
"I wouldn't call it submitting. This is only to show appreciation for a fellow king. For all you've shown me. You really have opened my eyes, Arturia."
Meanwhile, he pours himself a glass of wine. Assuming she already had one set out for her at the table.

By now the stunned demeanor of the King of Knights should have faded, but with this added bit of information, she's left frozen in place. A banquet for her... It was strange to think about it, as she looks to the man sitting nearby.
"If I have done so, then I will enjoy myself. If you are just saying that to be saying it, then I will be disappointed. Ah, speaking of, you have not announced this dinner to any other, have you?"
