WHAT: Beach Party
WHERE: Prospero Beach
WHEN: Saturday, May 19th all day
RATING: Swimsuits, water fights, sun burns, alcohol--oh my! Will... lock if things get out of hand.

ALSO: We're going to try something a little bit different from normal big event logs as far as organization of threads. I've seen this done with success so we'll try it here! This will be an experiment of sorts. Please comment with ONE THREAD (and only one!) per character to be tagged by others. For your header please write your character's name so people will be able to find and tag you with ease! For example, "Yukiho Hagiwara | Open"; you can check out my posts below as an example! There are three listed areas and please try to contain your characters in these three listed areas in this log. The areas include Prospero Beach's swimmable ocean, Prospero Beach's shore, and the boardwalk. Feel free to let creativity roam free! There are lots to do in any of these locations!

Action or Prose style threading is fine here; no pressure! And don't forget to tag yourself in!

Enjoying that sizzling heat? The dry, slow-rolling heat that just bakes everything? You thought sitting in a desert was hot. No, this seems hotter. The sun was an oppressive slave driver beating down hot UV lashings onto your poor unprotected backs, the air just sucking the moisture out of everything. So then, is it a relief when suddenly the weather turns for the muggiest? The heat still remains, but it's a gross, damp, icky heat you feel to the bone. The air is so humid and hot you could poke a leak into it with a knife. This disgusting weather goes on for days--until finally on Saturday, there's relief! It's still hot, but the humidity and temperature both drop to at least comfortable hot levels. Not to mention it's sunny, pleasantly breezy and not a cloud in the sky.

Time to hit the beach Prospero! ]

PROSPERO BEACH - THE BOARDWALK
Along this quaint boardwalk are a number of food vendors. Come beat the heat with a Popscicle! Grab some funnel cake! Are those hot dogs being grilled over there? Maybe you'd like some fish and chips! Of course food isn't the only thing that's making its way around the boardwalk; there are performers and peddlers out there to earn a buck as well! Watch out--did someone just ride on by on a bike?

PROSPERO BEACH - THE SHORE
It's clean, pristine sand as far as the eye can see! Thanks to the efforts of the sun and the city it's warm and for the most part litter free! Come for a game of beach volleyball! Build some sand castles! Go for a beach jog! Maybe you're turned off from Boardwalk food so you brought your own grill for a picnic! Or lay down, soak up the sun and take a nap!

PROSPERO BEACH - THE OCEAN
The ocean is refreshingly cold but all the inviting, considering how yucky-hot it's been! The swimmable area on the beach is noted by marked buoys to keep aquatic vehicles out and swimmers in. But outside? Anything goes! There's a dude up the beach renting out innertubes, floatation devices, boogie boards--even row boats, canoes, paddle boats! If you have the money you can spring for such frivolous expenses like a jet ski! Or maybe you have a bud who owns a yacht?

[ One of the more permanent buildings on the boardwalk is a swimsuit shack, and Yukiho is in the changing booth. ]

[ With a bit of courage Yukiho opens the curtains revealing this bold new look! ]

[ Okay so after that debacle in the swimsuit shack Yukiho is going to spend some time on the beach. An immense amount of time on the beach. ]

[ She wipes the sweat from her brow, reveling at her new completed monster sand castle! But all that sand had to come from somewhere, right?... Well, next to the castle there's an immense pit trap hole and a small sand box shovel. Don't fall in! ]

[ Yukiho is going to stick to the shallow waters here! Otherwise she'll be a happy camper with a bright orange innertube around her, floating rather peacefully! ]

[Hiyono can be found around the food vendors here, a bag of chips already in hand! She's checking out the shops around here, but not with much intent to buy - you overhear such great snippets of rumors when people are shopping, after all.]

THE SHORE

[Yeah, Hiyono's not really going to be doing much of the swimming thing. Instead she's lounging under an umbrella in a fairly simple swimsuit she was eventually coaxed into wearing. She's got a cute but cheap leather bracelet over her arm stamped with a generic heart design to complete the look, too.

[Snake's doing a few situps to keep in shape on the sand, and during one of them he stops and takes a glance at the bracelet on Hiyono's arm, goes back down with a chuckle, and rises up again.]

[If not, she might be working a small grill because people will get hungry. She's got a cooler filled all kinds of drinks, including alcoholic ones for the adults.]

[A familiar gray-curtain-haired figure, currently stripped down to red swimming trunks, is struggling against the two men carrying him to the beach -- Allen and Gaignun.]

Unhand me at once! I'll have you both indicted for kidnapping! OBJECTION!

[Stripped of his suit, one might notice for the first time that his shoulders aren't all padding, though his build isn't filled out like a warrior's would be.]

[If you see Edgeworth here at all, it'll be passing through and avoiding eye contact while projecting an air of "go away". If he stays out of your way, hopefully you'll stay out of his... right?]


The Ocean

[...yeah, if he has to be here, he's just going to swim as far out as possible to avoid unwanted human contact. He's actually not all that bad at it, surprisingly for such an apparent shut-in. He's even managing to relax a bit out this way.]

THE BOARDWALK

[Instead of his usual sneaking suit, anyone meandering their way across the boardwalk will notice a different (left) sort of Snake stepping along. Despite his clothing choice, the heat really doesn't seem to bother Snake all that much. Right now he's just scanning each of the food vendors, contemplating getting a bite to eat or maybe a drink. Feel free to bug him! Oh and he may or may not limp a little, but hey. He only just recently got out of a cast for a broken leg so cut him some slack!]

THE SHORE

[A now shirtless (left) Snake can be found laying down. Now, you'd normally expect someone to be laying down in a beach chair or on a towel, but Snake? He's just laying down right on the sand. Luckily his head is being propped up by his arms like a pillow, and his eyes are closed to prevent any sand from shooting into them. After the crap he's gone through so far, it's nice to finally get some rest and relaxation. Feel free to strike up a chat or, if you dare, bug the crap out of him.]

[On the boardwalk, Zia's walking by trying to juggle a hot dog and her parasol. Apparently Ura burn like crazy and Zia's not wanting to deal with that while not melting in a sun dress. And her juggling of everything meant she was about to run right into you, Snake]

[If you're in the water? There is a foot-long ahoge poking out of the water like a goddamn shark fin and just...circling. Slowly.]

[The one time that Snake decides to go into the water for a physical exercise, and he sees an ahoge like a shark fin. So he just stops and stares, waiting, not moving. Waiting for the exact second the damn thing decides to spring up out of the water.]

[As the Kid had promised, he had planned to give his booze collection away to all the other Persona users. He turns down strangers with a harsh glare if they come anywhere near the stacks of bottles, but he'll hand any to other muses without a word. Feel free to try and get a conversation out of him.]

[So after either all the bottles are gone or when the Kid stops caring about watching them, he'll be wandering about in a pair of proper swim trunks...well, they're proper for something out of a bargain bin, anyways. He's not doing much in particular beyond throwing a glance or two at the girls dressing light around the beach. Kid also keeps eying the water, but doesn't take a step near it. Approach?]

[When she finally gets tired, she's out watching the ocean with wide eyes. Sand's annoying, but you know what? Just sitting on that beach watching everything was nice.]

[Gaignun is just sitting on a bench near the boardwalk, staring out over the sand and ocean watching the setting suns reflection on the water. Twice now, he hadn't been able to fulfill his promise to his brothers to go with them to the beach now that they were grown. Jr was the only one to see the one at the Foundation that he had built for them, and Albedo had left Prospero before it had been warm enough to come to this one.

So, instead, he will sit here, looking out into the fading light. He has a take out coffee cup in his hand, but don't ask for a sip. He's spiked it heavily with Amaretto. However, feel free to approach, he wouldn't mind the company at this point.]

She's got a lab notebook in one hand and a grilled cheese sandwich in the other, with a belt around her waist fashioned to hold sunscreen, sunglasses, water, and maps. Never let it be said that she doesn't go all out.*

[Tired from her gallivanting on the boardwalk, Rapunzel is laying on a towel on the sand, sunning herself and just watching everyone go by. What a beautiful atmosphere!]

[Oh! It's cold! Blondie can't help but laugh as she wades in. Though she doesn't go far out enough to not be able to touch bottom.]
