WHO: Kaito and Ishtar, then Ryuunosuke.
WHEN: June 18th, afternoon.
WHERE: The hotel lobby.
SUMMARY: Kaito was having two appointment in a day, until he found out the civilians were acting strangely.
RATING: PG.
WARNINGS: None.

Once Kaito returned to his room, he changed the worker clothes with his idol clothes. He was having double 'date' today... or 'appointment' for appropriate word. With his first paycheck, he's going to spend for a puppy and probably the new guy he just met.

Today might be his perfect day. It's time to roll out.

Kaito walked down to the lobby, expecting Ishtar to be waiting for him. He promised with her earlier that he's going to buy a puppy, or a dog. The first thing when he arrived at the lobby, he noticed the atmosphere was a bit quiet. He glanced to the receptionist table and there's no worker. Was it public holiday? Definitely not.

It took her a few minutes to get away from the annoying manager lady. She rushed past the room and down the halls to the lobby. She grinned as she dodged a few more people that were looking for her. This life was getting back to how it was before. Fortunately for her this time, she was rather dressed for the time period.

There was no dresses this times. She actually had a decent pair of jeans and a blouse on as she makes her way over to Kaito, "HEY!" she called from a few feet away trying to get his attention.

Kaito spotted her voice, and waved. "Hey, you finally made it! I thought I had to wait for another hour. How going with that lady you spoke before?" He giggled as her arrived next to him. He noticed that she was rushing, and he bet it's all about that annoying boss.

"Yeah. That lady is seriously...so much work to get away from."

She run a hand through her hair. Well this is what happens when she decides to pick a job because they were interested. It makes it difficult to get away. The security here was much tighter than home. Then again they had weird technology and stuff, "She's lost right now but if we don't move fast she might get me," she replied as she walked towards the exit of the hotel. Yes, the annoying Manager ti be correct. She should be fired for slacking off, but yeah.

Kaito covered his mouth as he tired to hold his laugh, but he couldn't do it. He rushed behind Ishtar as he made himself exit from the hotel. Finally, he caught up with Ishtar and glanced at the quiet city. "Hmm... You think it's still working hours? This place is sure quiet than before." He remembered he said something strange about this city recently, but could it be coincedence?

He can laugh all he wants but that's the truth. She isn't worker and playing little games like this was the usual for her. She wasn't the type to sit around and take everything either so yeah. She stopped when they were outside and far enough from the hotel to keep moving.

"It should be? I don't see why it's strangely quiet right now either. It's kinda strange," she replied frowning a little at that thought.

"Hmm, maybe we should head straight to the pet shop. I'm afraid something might happen if we stick here for too long." Kaito watched several of civilians walked like a zombie. They didn't walk in groups, so it obviously drew Kaito's suspicion.

"Yeah I think so too just in case any of these crazies decide to do something," she replied frowning. People walking around like Zombies oh god. She doesn't like t hose. She never had good experience with undead zombie people or human living zombies either.

"Let's hope they won't notice us."

"Just like in the movie, zombie attack. Creepy. I wish it never happen." Kaito tried to find a shortcut or safer route to get to their destination without a problem.

Soon, he saw the shop not far from them. "There it is. Gosh, I'm so excited!" He beamed.

"Movie?" she has never even heard of movies before. There's a surprised look from her, "That doesn't sound too pleasant ahahah," she laughed nervously scratching the side of her face as she kept moving. She followed him through the shortcut and finally standing in front of the pet shop she smiles, "Ahaha I hope you find a puppy to your liking."

Ghost stories are one of his weaknesses, so he rarely talk about it. He's not often go to cinema either because he's busy with recording. As he entered the pet shop, he went to a puppy near by and picked it up. "Aww, this one looks cute. And that one to!" He pointed at other puppy before he approached it.

Ishtar doesn't like talking about ghost stories either but she wasn't seriously terrified of it or anything. The girl was just busy looking at things while they were walking around the pet area taking in the new surroundings and technology.

"They're really adorable," she grinned as she watched him pick up one and then pointing to another, "So, uh how do we tell what breed a dog is?"

As Kaito hugged another dog, he frowned to her. "I don't know. Perhaps the owner of the shop can tell..." He made a quick glance at the cashier table. However, he just notice no one was in the shop except both of them. "Forget my idea, there's no one in the shop since he got here."

"That's weird. I wonder where the guy went," she mused looking around. There were many cute dogs. She wondered which one he wanted again. The girl continued to browse briefly as she glanced around for the owner, but again no such luck.

"Hm...I guess we can just get a pup and then leave the money on the front desk right?"

"Is it okay to leave it right here? I mean, we're buying without them knowing." Kaito pursed his lip as he looked at the dogs. Kaito was pure innocent, and it's obviously he never learn such a thing from Ishtar's idea. It was his first time, and he didn't want to call it as a theft. Although, they going to buy it without asking the owner.

Kaito knelt next to a dog with long ears, and he stared it with a serious face. "...Found it. I want this one."

"I don't know actually, hahahaha."

She laughed nervously, "It was just a suggestion. We're not stealing anything if we paid for it right?" she added slightly unsure but she thinks it's okay. It's Ishtar logic so she's always that kind of person. It was hard to tell what she was thinking sometimes. Yeah she didn't want to be called a petty thief either so it's really up to Kaito what he wanted to do or they can wait for the owner to return,

Still who would leave their store wide open like this? It's just asking to be stolen.

"Oh, he's a cutie!" she replied with a big grin.

"I-If you say so... At least, we're 'paying' it." Kaito made a small chuckle on her idea. Maybe it wasn't consider as theft after all, although it took them a wrong way. However, he had to agree with her. What kind of shop that could left behind without the owner?

Kaito picked up the dog, which it's called Hush Puppy. Long ears, quite cartoonic face, moody and pity eyes. It resembles someone he knows. "This face is none other than her. I'm gonna call him, 'Hatchune'". What's a big deal if it's male or female? All dogs are alike.

"Yeah at least we're still paying for it right?" she replied nodding to that comment. It wasn't considered theft to her since they left the money for it. She still thinks it might be a bad idea too but who knows right? Yeah exactly and she can never understand why people do that.

She watched as he picked up the dog. It was adorable as she could see from a distance. She wanted to pet it too so she moved over towards him, "That's a cute name," she replied she giggled a little.

Kaito nodded. "It is my friend's... mascot name." He smiles sheepishly as he walks to the counter. "I'll pay this... and grab some free dog food and a collar. Let's go then." He gestured Ishtar to go out from the shop before the owner noticed them.

Once they out from the shop, Kaito put on the collar with a rope attached to it. "Gotta take care of him all the time, but I have to work half day... Maybe you could help me, Ishtar. We switch time to look after him. How's that sound?" He hoped she agrees with his request.

"Oh...really? Well that's kinda cute still," she replied giggling a little as she petted the dog a little now, "Yeah I think that should do," she replied with a nod of her head as she moved to help him get the stuff. She wanted a dog or cat too when she got the chance but right now she didn't want any pets. They made her homesick and she was missing Duzell.

Back on the streets again, "Oh...ah sure I wouldn't mind helping out with the cutie," she replied with a small smile, "I like that idea hehe," she added with a nod of her head. She doesn't do much anyway so helping with dog might be fun!

Kaito arrived at the lobby after he departed with his mate earlier. And what did he got? A new puppy. He really enjoyed having a pet once in his life, and he'd better taken care of him with full attention. It seemed that it hadn't enjoyed its freedom yet, and Kaito had to take it for a walk one more time. But first, he got a friend to meet.

Ryuunosuke was waiting in the lobby, eyes lighting up when he saw the dog. "Awww. You didn't tell me you were bringing your pet."

Of course he'd killed things like dogs before, but that didn't mean he couldn't appreciate living ones.

Kaito jumped and glanced at the voice. The dog made a small yip, then hid behind him. "Oh, I didn't mean to. I just bought him awhile ago. You must be Ryuunosuke."

"That's me. So, Kaito, right?" It was hard to miss a head of blue hair.

Kaito nodded. "Since we're here, would you like to take a walk somewhere? Well, my dog really need one anyway." He turned to his dog, which sniffed at him.

"Probably. I haven't seen too much of the city," Ryuunosuke answered casually. He'd seen the hotel, the bar that he now worked at (food was a good thing to have, and that meant money), and a few things to get a feel for the place, but it never hurt to have a better picture.

"Great! I haven't seen the bigger picture of this city too." It's been a month he's been in the city, but he never explore since he was too afraid about the appearance of the black creatures.

"Where should we head first? The park's all right," Ryuunosuke commented, "but there have to be more interesting places in our new kidnapping home."

"Sure, let's head to the park then." Kaito grinned sheepishly to him. "Our new kidnapping home?" He titled his head aside, and he didn't get that.

"We've been kidnapped, right? So this is where we're stuck - we might as well call it home."

Kaito and the dog itself felt something eerie coming from Ryuunosuke, but Kaito tried to be positive as he could. "I rather say 'taken' than 'kidnapped', but I'm glad enough we had a home to stay. This place is great too." He rubbed the back on his head.

Congratulations. Kaito had more sense than a lot of people who were now dead.

Ryuunosuke shrugged. "It's the same thing, basically."

"Perhaps we could take a look outside how lively this city is." Kaito invited Ryuunosuke to the place that he suggested, the park. His dog wasn't with them, due to Ryuunosuke devilish statement just now, and that left both of them.

Kaito was expecting more people around the city during afternoon. However, it's still like before, the people seemed less and mostly walking alone. "I felt really strange since this morning. There are less people around, I wonder what's going on."

"Huh, really? I wasn't paying too much attention." Ryuunosuke shrugged. He wasn't too big on people.

Obviously, Ryuunosuke seemed new to this city. Kaito could guess that. "Usually, this city was crowded with people, like Tokyo. Especially when they're in groups, dates and families. It's hard to believe when something suspicious is going on." He looked around him once more, and the park seemed empty for some reason.

"You're right..." Ryuunosuke thought for another moment. "So it'd be connected to what brought us here and the - monsters near the coffin things, right?"

Kaito deep thought on this. "Correct, but almost. The monsters and coffins that you mentioned were only appear at midnight. But why it's something wrong during day? I don't these people." He tried to look closer to a stranger, and what he saw on that stranger face was moody.

"Could be the weather. Or something weird on the news, I don't watch the news..."

Ryuunosuke was not really interested in why as he was interested in how it could be useful, but if it turned out exciting, then that was good.

"If there's a news, they should be spread the rumors by now. But the problem is, we didn't hear any of it. Except..." Kaito paused. Maybe he's right or wrong, this probably something to do with the Shadows. Because those people didn't know what happened that midnight, and causing something weird by tomorrow. Ryuunosuke just gave him a clue.

"I think I'm gonna take a walk at midnight." He was talking about midnight investigation, and he wasn't sure if Ryuunosuke was interested too.

"That's a pretty good idea." Ryuunosuke probably was going to focus more on killing Shadows, but if he'd been more interested, he would have spent some time trying to find things out.

"So, you're coming, right? Are you good with combat?" By looking at Ryuunosuke's face, he could use for help. Besides, Kaito isn't good enough, and he needs more training than he supposed to be.

"Me? I'm pretty good with a knife. Good enough to handle most of those things."

He'd been doing pretty well on his own, although he hadn't entered the place where most of the Shadows gathered yet.

"Maybe you could help me investigate tonight. Just check them up if they done something terrible." Kaito thought, it could be fine to bring him along. He usually part with his teammates for battle, so why not he shares his experiences with the others?

"Yeah, all right." Maybe he could show off a little? It was fun to have someone appreciate what you do.

"Great! Let's meet up again at the same place at midnight. And sorry to ask you out for a short time. The situation had changed." Kaito can't help it but to smile sheepishly at him.

[I wasn't sure when the boss battle log was supposed to take place, but if you want Ryuunosuke to be hanging out with Kaito then, sure~]
