Full Moon Log : Hermit

When midnight strikes and the dark hour falls, characters will notice things are not going as they have in the past few weeks. The streets, normally crawling with shadows, are empty. There’s a thick tension in the air and characters may feel a strange power pulling them towards the dungeon in the business ward.

Once there characters will find a large creature (the Hermit) in the entrance way. It is crawling on several legs, has a mask like face and gravity defying blue fur around the head. Several feet away from it, spaced out in a semi circle around it are smaller creatures (Noble Seekers). These creatures look like floating clay masks with eyes encircling them. Once the larger shadow sees the intruders, it will emit a loud cry and run outside.

Once there it will get atop a building and the smaller shadows will start to attack. These foes are attempting to force the characters in small groups and are attacking one at a time.

The small groups shouldn’t be of more than three characters. The objective is the defeat the smaller shadows, doing so will defeat the Hermit.

I prefer the "smash it till it's dead" plan.

[She lifts up her crowbar and starts smashing at the nearest Shadow.]

[Towards Garviel, pointing at Haruhi.] She.

[To both]Young lady, that plan doesn't work outside silly movies. I'd rather listen to the man who actually looks capable of a fight.

[Completely ignoring the shadow, Haruhi turns to yell at Ingrid.]

The name's Haruhi you old bat! And my plan is just as good!

[Regardless of their planning, a Seeker moves forward to attack the group. Without hesitation it hurls a stream of fire at the closet person, Garviel. Further off another Seeker has noticed the start of a battle and moves toward to group.]

[ Garviel is briefly ignited, falling to one knee and grunting from the searing agony of being torched, but returns the favor, triggering his pistol in a tightly-grouped set of 3 shots at the Seeker, roaring to the girls. ] Argue later! We must cleanse them now!

Ugh, FINE! [She turns back towards the Seeker and runs forward with her crowbar.]

There's gotta be a more effective way to attack them...

[Ingrid fires off a round at the Seeker, moving forward to keep close watch on Haruhi.]

Be careful girl!

Ingrid hasn't had her persona appear yet either, right?

[She hits a Shadow coming from another direction, straight at the pair.]

Nope. Think we should hold off till Bill comes back?

My name is Ingrid Barnes. I'd prefer you use that instead of lady. Show a little respect for your elders.

You mean like now? Trololololol. Feel free to start having personas appear.

[ A stroke of lightning lashes out at Ingrid this time, blasting her pretty hard and probably staggering her. ]

[Haruhi spins toward the offending monster who attacked Ingrid.]

HEY! That lady's annoying, but that doesn't mean you have to hurt her like that!

[A sharp pain rushes through Haruhi's head. She drops her crowbar as a voice rings through her head.]

I am thou... And thou art I...

I am Dionysus, the god of wine and theater. Let us celebrate together...

[A colorful man appears before Haruhi, his only clothing a cloth around his lower half, and a red scarf around his shoulders. A carved staff hangs from his shoulder.

Panting, Haruhi gets herself up, grabbing the crowbar.]

I don't know what you are, but I'll work with you.

[She raises her crowbar in front of her, pointing at the monster that attacked Ingrid.]

ZIO!

[ Garviel crosses to the staggered ingrid, offering her a hand, and yells. ]

Stand up and help me kill this beast!

[She grabs his hand, pulling her self up with a huff. She starts to shoot at the center of the shadow but her eyes keep going back to Haruhi.]

How in hell did you do that?

[Haruhi glances back.]

I don't know, but it's helping, so I'm not complaining!

[As more shadows pour forth, she directs another Zio attack towards them.]

[ Between Zio and the pistol shots, another seeker is knocked backwards as though pulled by a rope, and bursts into black mist before expiring. ]
