[Early in the Morning, everyone who was reported as murdered will get the following text:]

Hey! ! know you all have been through a lot and probably feel k!inda down so come to the bookstore ton!ght at 7 and well cheer you up!!

Action: Gil's bookstore

[Anyone who comes into Gil's bookstore around 7 am will find it decked out with a banner saying "Welcome Back!" On a table stands a sheet cake frosted with the letters "You're Alive again!" and a post of soup simmering away on a hot plate. Around both of these are a number of smaller plates holding a much fancier cake, strawberry and all, each with the name of one of the victims written on it. The cafe cats are decorated with a ribbon of their own, to varying degrees of annoyance to each of them. They have been joined by Sakurako's cats Cookie and Biscuit, who seem to be enjoying their stint as the center of interest to a number of their fellow felines.

In the back stands a small Karaoke machine, beeping away in an attempt to generate interest. The couches and chairs have been pushed flush with the outer bookshelves to create a bit more space for people to mingle.

Miki is sitting at the counter, waiting to get coffee (or I guess, sell books) to anyone who is interested in buying some extra stuff.]

I'm hardly against celebrating, but I honestly miss how quiet it was here when I first started months ago. Though as you say, it could be much worse.

I can still hardly believe that the man thought challenging every kidnappee to become as drunk as possible at the same time was a good idea, particularly given that our everyday situation isn't necessarily secure.

Archer excels at terrible decisions, I've noticed.

Indeed. His recent arrest was due to further evidence of that.

...oh, this I have to hear. What is it he did this time?

Please don't tell me he's started throwing swords again.

I'm not personally involved in the case, but from what I've overheard, it involves him having driven a motorcycle recklessly, injuring several people and destroying quite a bit of property in the process.

...well, at least it's only that. He's idiotic enough to do worse.

I would argue that he already has. He simply managed to break several laws in the process this time. [Sip.] I can't help but pity his old subjects.

I'm sure he wasn't some horrible tyrant.

Policies that are ill-considered can be as destructive as those that are merely self-serving. There is a reason why debate is considered vital to modern society.

[croibhristeoir]

Unfortunately, we're not from modern society. And even more unfortunately, not all of us are quite as adaptable as I have tried to be.

Indeed. I would be altogether unsurprised if I found myself confronting him again, on terms that leave me at a disadvantage.

I think you and half the city share that problem.

Which makes my current goal all the more important.
