[Text; Response from Sakurako]

[Early in the Morning, everyone who was reported as murdered will get the following text:]

Hey! ! know you all have been through a lot and probably feel k!inda down so come to the bookstore ton!ght at 7 and well cheer you up!!

Action: Gil's bookstore

[Anyone who comes into Gil's bookstore around 7 am will find it decked out with a banner saying "Welcome Back!" On a table stands a sheet cake frosted with the letters "You're Alive again!" and a post of soup simmering away on a hot plate. Around both of these are a number of smaller plates holding a much fancier cake, strawberry and all, each with the name of one of the victims written on it. The cafe cats are decorated with a ribbon of their own, to varying degrees of annoyance to each of them. They have been joined by Sakurako's cats Cookie and Biscuit, who seem to be enjoying their stint as the center of interest to a number of their fellow felines.

In the back stands a small Karaoke machine, beeping away in an attempt to generate interest. The couches and chairs have been pushed flush with the outer bookshelves to create a bit more space for people to mingle.

Miki is sitting at the counter, waiting to get coffee (or I guess, sell books) to anyone who is interested in buying some extra stuff.]

*Kaoru walks in, B|-ing as usual. She stops at the doorway...

[Miki walks over to Kaoru when she sees her walk in. She begins talking with a big smile on her face.]

"Hey! Welcome back! There is a special cake for all of the... er... revivers over on the table."

[Once Kaoru's not having her ear talked off by others, Edgeworth approaches her. At least her lineface actually makes this a little easier for him.]

You're one of the guests of honor, are you not?

Hey, Kaoru! Surprised?

[Edgeworth hates parties. If he didn't suspect that avoiding a party with this particular purpose would be a serious social faux pas -- especially when he's trying to unite people under the purpose of making sure things like what happened to the guests of honor don't become commonplace -- he wouldn't be here at all. As it is, he's leaning against a wall that allows him a view of the most open part of the bookstore, sipping away at a mug filled with some of the soup.

The prosecutor hasn't been to this bookstore since his Persona awakened here, despite having heard that others had made the first hero back down from his extreme censorship regime. Between those memories and the case this party revolves around, there's clearly a lot on this wallflower's mind...]

[Miki's pops up behind the deep in thought Edgeworth, looking rather annoyed. She begins, sharply,]

Uhg, what are you doing here? I'm pretty sure you can't arrest me for having a party.

*Hello fellow wallflower. Allen's not trying to be particularly sneaky, but it might be easy to fail to notice him walking up next to you with a cup of coffee in one hand if you aren't paying attention. It's an unfortunate talent of his.*

[Have the resident bespectacled badass bookworm carrying a small stack of hardcovers and very nearly giving up on any semblance of being able to do his job with Miki pulling stunts like this.]

[She says with a mouth half-full of the stuff.]

[Atsuro's at the party, to see how everyone there is, especially the victims. He don't know them well, but he knows some of his friends do.

When he see Edgeworth, he ponders on whether to approach the man or not.]

[Did you say cats? Gratuity's tabby cat, Pig, is also here now, and seems quite pleased to be meeting so many of her own kind that are not clones. Gratuity noticed the celebration, and decided to bring Pig in, just to let her meet the other cats. There's a packet of cat treats in her pocket, although she isn't distributing it yet. She herself is sitting by the wall, watching the cats.]

[Miki comes up to Gratuity, beaming.]

Hey! It seems your cat's getting along fine! Can I get you anything?

*Allen normally had no interest in parties and would really rather stay at home and work on his assorted projects. But he was honestly a little bit worried about the victims, and thought he should at least stop by to make sure they were really alright. But that didn't mean he had to make a scene about it...no, he was just lingering off out of the way with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake, watching everyone else mingle.*

[After talking with Edgeworth, Atsuro makes his way over to Allen.]

Hi.

[... Well normally he would avoid the bookstore but. Why not. He can always revive if someone tries to kill him again...]

[So Naoya is against a wall, watching the people here and eating his cake. It's good, so he's satisfied for now.]

[...In other words, a certain student notice his teacher and come over.]

[Upon seeing another wallflower who happened to be one of the guests of honor -- if one also responsible for that highly irritating prank the moment he was alive again -- a clearly irritated Edgeworth approaches and offers a forced greeting:]

Good evening.

Oh, hey! I don't think we've met before. I'm Miki. Sorry about what happened.

[Honestly, she was expecting something small. Then again this was Miki and Sakurako who planned the whole thing so she shouldn't have been so surprised.

She's found herself comfortable with some of the store cats. She even took off some of their ribbons to use as makeshift toys for them. Truth be told she was feeling a little gloomy since returning but this cheered her up.]

[By the time Edgeworth gets to Saori, he's finished his mug of soup and thus can properly bow to her. He seems fatigued, though...]

Good evening, Miss Nakagawa.

[Seeing a bolt of red streak towards the cake table, Miki goes to intercept, sensing evil intentions towards the cake.]

Can I help you?

[John is surprised that Miki did this. And... kind of touched, really. He won't touch the cake, but he will help himself to some soup and pet one of the cats.]

[Another thing about Miki is she can be quiet when she needs to be. Up until the point where she screams John's name joyfully from behind him.]
