[Early in the Morning, everyone who was reported as murdered will get the following text:]

Hey! ! know you all have been through a lot and probably feel k!inda down so come to the bookstore ton!ght at 7 and well cheer you up!!

Action: Gil's bookstore

[Anyone who comes into Gil's bookstore around 7 am will find it decked out with a banner saying "Welcome Back!" On a table stands a sheet cake frosted with the letters "You're Alive again!" and a post of soup simmering away on a hot plate. Around both of these are a number of smaller plates holding a much fancier cake, strawberry and all, each with the name of one of the victims written on it. The cafe cats are decorated with a ribbon of their own, to varying degrees of annoyance to each of them. They have been joined by Sakurako's cats Cookie and Biscuit, who seem to be enjoying their stint as the center of interest to a number of their fellow felines.

In the back stands a small Karaoke machine, beeping away in an attempt to generate interest. The couches and chairs have been pushed flush with the outer bookshelves to create a bit more space for people to mingle.

Miki is sitting at the counter, waiting to get coffee (or I guess, sell books) to anyone who is interested in buying some extra stuff.]

I've already been trying to figure out how they still work. What did you have in mind?

Though it doesn't constitute what I'd consider a complete solution, I propose implanting a small tracking device inside the bodies of extremely dangerous criminals such as our serial killer, then distributing to all of our phones a program that can be used to track people so burdened and alert us to their presence. It isn't as effective a means of protecting the public as any normal form of punishment for murder, but we must make do.

Once we figure out how to make electronics that work during Dark Hour, that should be easy. The hardware would be a bit expensive, but hopefully we won't need too many of these things.

Depending on how much Chief Nishimura is aware of, perhaps even he could be furnished with a copy of the program.

So I'm aware. His inquisitiveness is clearly outweighed by his murderious tendencies, however. I'd been told that he was a serial killer before, but without evidence, I hesitated to stoop to what might very well have been slander.

It's alright, I should've looked into the people I was talking to a bit better myself.

On that subject, there's someone else I wish to learn more about. She's a Servant who goes by the title Ruler, who claims to have acted as a referee of sorts in one of the various Holy Grail Wars. She caught my attention immediately for seeming to be in full agreement about the necessity of a system of justice and a court amongst ourselves.

Maybe I'll talk to Assassin about her. He didn't seem that interested in the parts of the investigation that didn't involve fighting, but he seemed pretty willing to explain things about his world.

Might this be the same "Assassin" who bears the name Sasaki Kojiro? The one with the long indigo hair?

I, er, did encounter him one, yes. I was... surprised to find that he was at all interested in law and intrigued by my observational skills.

I've only talked to him once, myself. But he offered to explain more about Servants to me when I wasn't so busy.

I, um... would be interested in hearing other perspectives on the subject myself. The last explanation of Heroic Spirits I heard was... confusing.

[Not in the sense of incomprehensible, to judge by his glaringly obvious unease...]
