Cos there are some nights I hold you close, pushing you to hold me. [LOCKED]
Who: Gilgamesh and Beatrice
Where: Prospero PD
When: Between April 4th and April 11th
What: An usual request from the most unlikely person to an equally unlikely person.
Rating: PG-13 because Gil will be Gil?
Warnings: Possibly cursing in an ancient language, possible moemoe tsuntsun deredere. Oh, and plenty of trolling. You know, the usual.
[ ...Well, it's not too surprising that this happened. It's actually more surprising that he HASN'T been jailed yet due to the various crazy stunts he pulls on a nearly daily basis. But alas, he just happened to make too much of a ruckus and it landed him here. But he was a king, damn it. His protest fell on deaf ears, and he was sentenced to a minimum of a week in jail, to be released after only with bail.
There weren't very many people he could call. If they would allow him, he'd just pay for himself. But stupid mongrel rules are stupid and what not. There was Arturia, but he would never hear the end of it from her. V/V... No. He didn't want her to see him like this. ...No, don't even think about her. You don't need more shit to deal with. But she's the best choice after all, isn't she?
Giving a sigh, he'll use his one call to ring up a certain witch of the golden variety. Hopefully she answers. ]

I should take your money and leave you there.~
Buuut, I suppose that would be awful even for me.
I am, however, surprised you called me for such an endeavor.
Or was I last on a longer list?
no subject
This isn't the time to be fooling around, Beatrice. This place is unsuitable for mongrels, much less me. I don't even think they serve food dogs would eat here. It's horrid.
...And if you have to know, you're the first person I called. Yes, I'm questioning my own sanity at the moment. But you made the most sense at the moment. You're a sensible woman, aren't you? I doubt I would hardly be any fun to pick on stuck in a cell.
no subject
Very well. I'll come to collect you. I can't leave you in a place like that.
Tell me what I need to bring and how to get it.

You are so cliche that it's adorable, brat prince. Though I don't suppose you worry about thieves or the like.
I'll be along shortly, then. Try to have a bit of patience, won't you~?
no subject
Of course I wouldn't. Any fool who dared to step inside uninvited would meet their demise to a pair of lions. The most vicious of their kind! ...Which means you should probably watch out for them, too. Though they already know your scent, so it shouldn't be too big of a deal.
[ And then there's another short pause before he answers with a huff and tone of voice that sounds very opposite of what he's actually trying to prove. ]
What do you think I am, a child? I'm not that impatient!
no subject
I'm sure they won't be a bother. They're large house cats, anyway.
I suppose I should be going. The longer we chat, the longer you wait.~
[A beat.]
Gilgamesh, listen.
I'm not going to leave you there, okay? Not for a minute longer than necessary.
Have a little faith, hm~? ♥
no subject
Don't be stupid. Faith is something the blind sheep place in the Gods. I'm placing my trust in you, that you'll do what I'm asking.
...
Guess I'll see you then.

...Hey.

It's about time. I was neigh to getting arrested myself with how long these imbeciles were taking.
...Is everything alright?

Freedom. At least, the illusion of freedom. Somewhere deep inside his mind, he realized this place was a prison in it's own way. But it was nothing like what he had just experienced. At least he could do things out here. ...And perhaps it reminded him of where he had come from. That is, death. Not that heroic spirits truly died. They all rested on the Throne of Heroes, awaiting the next time they were summoned. But, it still held a bit of truth. He was summoned during the 4th war, and lived to nearly see the end of the 5th war. What happens to the copy of a servant that dies in battle, though? They return without any memories, right? That would be fine, but he had racked up a whole ten years of memories. As petty as some of them might have been, they were still important to him. He was sure anyone else would feel the same under his circumstances. Prospero was a prison, but it was better than the prison known as true death. Memories are what make a person. Without them, it's as if you never existed. This was why he built his city up. Why he left his tale to the future generations. His life, his memory. That was all he had that proved there was ever a King, a God, a Man named Gilgamesh.
Of course, a horn honked close by and brought him back to the present. He tried to shake off the cryptic feeling and turn his attention back towards the woman who had set him free. A mixture of emotions were still present in him, and words didn't seem to come as easily as they should. And so, he did the only thing he could think of that would be appropriate at the moment. He'll pull her into a hug. Not romantic, but thankful. Even if it lasts a bit longer then intended. Finally managing to let out a sigh, he'll pull back and lean his back against the wall. Ah, how nice the sun felt right now. ]
I believe I'm recovering slowly. ...Thank you.
no subject
Of course.~
You look like hell, your highness. Why don't we go back to your place, hm? I'll be a nice girl and make you some tea. I even promise not to poison it.~ ♥
no subject
That sounds awfully tempting. I never want to sleep in a bed that isn't my own again. I think I might've misaligned something.
no subject
I can understand that, after sleeping in your bed for one night I'm almost loathe to sleep in my own. You certainly have taste in comfort, I'll give you that.

Surprisingly, a nice short walk from the jail to the condo was rather relaxing. Or maybe he just enjoyed conversing with her. Who could really say? They'll eventually arrive at the elevator, and he'll urge her to step in first. Yes, the private room elevator. Because fuck walking stairs. ]
Ah. I do hope the lions didn't cause you any trouble. I'm sure their worried about my sudden disappearance from their daily lives. I only hope I left enough food for them.
no subject
They were at the end of it when I came in earlier, so I gave them a bit more. I hope that's alright. They kept milling around me as though I had you hiding behind my back, so I gave them something to take their mind off of it.
[She would be out of the elevator before him but it's his door to open, so she'll stand beside him and let him do the honors.]
no subject
Ah, but that comment would make him chuckle. The lions always did have an excellent sense of smell, didn't they? Amusing thoughts filled his head as he stepped out of the elevator and unlocked the gate-door that lead into the condo. Of course, the second he does he's pounced by the two adoring lions. He'll give them a bit of love before shooing them away for a bit and turning back to Beatrice. ]
You're free to do whatever you like for the moment. I believe I require a nice warm bath before I do anything else.
[ And before she can actually say anything, there's a pile of clothes where he once stood and the sound of bath water running in the distance. Yes, he's that fast. ]
no subject
A...Ah, well...
[This is all she'll manage to get out before he wanders off, shedding his clothing all the while. She'd shake her head. The man has no shame whatsoever. Well, if he was going to be gone for a moment, this would be a good time to brew some tea. Hopefully she could dig up a bit without having to go back out. All this traveling had her a little weary.]

Meanwhile Gilgamesh slowly sunk himself into the bath. The water might be scalding hot to some, but to him it was incredibly soothing. Just soaking like this was something he could always enjoy. The various salts he used helped to create an even more relaxing atmosphere, and whatever troubles or worries that he may have had these past few days were so far away at the moment. It would be far too easy to loose track of time like this, so she may actually have to come get him whenever the tea is actually ready. ]
no subject
After a short while, the tea was nicely brewed and ready...but he was still steeping. If she waited, the tea would grow cold. There was no way to know when he would be done. These last few days had been stressful and he needed that tea far more than she did.
Fiiiiiine.
She knocked on the door gently, teacup in hand.]
Gilgamesh...your tea is ready. If you make yourself somewhat presentable, I'll be glad to bring it in there for you.~ ♥
no subject
Ah, is it done already? That was quicker than expected.
no subject
I...I'd have brought it in, you know. You didn't have to get out. You're going to drip all over the floor, you know.
no subject
...I suppose you have a point. Give me a moment and I will join your shortly.
[ Annnnd he'll disappear for a few more moments, only to rejoin her decked out in a rather fancy bath robe. At least it was better than being half naked, right~? He'll casually plop himself on one of the couches, finally able to take a sip of the warm tea. After a moment or two of enjoying the taste, he'll give a satisfied sigh. ]
I have to commend you on your knowledge of tea. You seem to know just how long to let it steep before serving it. I could never get that right myself. It's either too bitter or too weak. I suppose one can't be the master of everything.
no subject
Tch, take your time. The last thing I need is for you to come out here before you're ready. I've seen quite enough, thanks.
[She'd be seated on the couch, legs crossed, sipping at her tea. She had to admit the man made himself at home fairly quickly no matter the company. And the appearance of him in his robe didn't help to curtail the thought. She wanted to be angry, but compliments always seemed to warm her heart even more than the tea before her.]
It takes a lot of patience. My tea-making is nothing to my butler's, but after having so many cups in a lifetime, you get a feel for taste.
I'm glad you like it.~
