Nothing like tea on a summer's day

Notes: Let's do this one like the beach party. One character per thread, everyone is free to do their own thing here. Employees can chat it up with guests, hijack a someone's table, ask if they can take a look at the mini-base upstairs, etc. Also retconning the hidden staircase to the base to inside the storeroom so no nosy NPCs can find it. Saori will eventually give everyone on the network a copy of the key to that storeroom.

[Today was the day the tea house finally opened. It took some time, but Saori's dream of owning such a place came true. Since today was an important, a little guest spoiling wouldn't hurt anyone. She had skipped over last night's Dark Hour so she could get up early and get some macarons, biscuits, scones and the ingredients for sandwiches in the afternoon.

It's a small building but it sits a number tables for 2-4 people. There are some booths and some tables available. If a guest wanted to, they could have a seat outside in the mini garden filled with various flower bushes.

The plants were watered, hot water and some coffee ready, and all the treats for the morning were set. Time to open shop!]

[Something occurred to Edgeworth during his conversation with Margulis here earlier... something that only Diarmuid could help with. As such, the prosecutor approaches his friend after finishing a cup of tea.]

[April seems to have already made herself comfortable, as she's taken a seat out in the mini garden and seems to be working her way through a pile of macarons and biscuits. She can certainly eat a lot for someone of her size...]

[Squirreling away more tea in a to-go cup, Gaignun has decided to check out the garden area. Oh. Hey! He knows her. Let's go make her talk with her mouth full.]

Oh, hello there April. Lovely day, isn't it?

[She blinks up at him and quickly swallows the mouthful of biscuits she had, before smiling up at him.]

Ah, hi, Gaignun and yeah, it is! And it's nice being able to relax like this.

[Saori is around checking on the guests and eventually makes her way outside. She smiles when she sees April.]

I'm glad you could make it, April. I see you're enjoying the food here.

Of course, there's no way I would miss this. And the food is really good.

*Honestly, Margulis was only here out of obligation. He wasn't the type to idly socialize and had always thought the point of a tea house was to be quiet. The name of the place didn't particularly thrill him, either. Elysium. That was somewhere he was fairly sure he didn't belong. But he'd agreed to work here, so he couldn't quit on opening day...*

[Naturally, Miles Edgeworth would be found at the opening of a new tea house of any potential worth, kidnappee-run or not. Already, he's sipping some tea at one of the tables. However, two details are amiss here: one, the table he chose is centrally-located, and two, there's room for four at it.

*Personally, Margulis would have waited until the initial crowds had died down, if only to avoid most of the natives who couldn't seem to get it through their thick skulls that he wasn't some kind of street performer, no he did not dye his hair and no he would not tell them where he got his scar. But since he worked here, he was somewhat obligated to show up.

Luckily, at least one person caught his eye as someone he didn't mind talking to, so he ended up finding his way to Edgeworth's table with a cup of tea for himself.*

[Of course once she sees Edgeworth, Saori just had to say hello at the very least.]

Mr. Edgeworth, I'm so glad you could make it. Are you enjoying yourself?

[Well, he certainly couldn't miss Saori's grand opening, now could he? Not to mention the fact that he knew he couldn't miss all the tasty things that were sure to appear.

So anyone looking/not looking for Mr. Gaignun Kukai will find him at a small table by a window, with a cup of black tea and plate with some of the macarons. Don't worry, he's pretty social and laid back right now.]

*After hearing from Edgeworth how Gaignun had responded to his accusations, Margulis couldn't help but wonder a bit at how easily the URTV seemed to have admitted to being wrong. While he was convinced that it was entirely a disarming attempt, part of him was left to wonder if they'd both learned some things about the situation.

Margulis didn't bring any tea of his own this time, not expecting an entirely friendly conversation. Nor did he bother to ask before seating himself across from the younger man.*

[Saori is all over the place. If she's not greeting and serving guests, she's replenishing the treats and drinks. Despite how busy she is, she's having a lot of fun. A tea house to call her own has been her dream for the longest time. Flag her down if you can?]

[ Yukiho is staring wide-eyed at the menu. She keeps looking up to where the tea leaves and mixes are kept then back at the menu! ]

[ She looks flabbergasted and when her finger goes over one tea menu item she moves her finger to another, then another, then another... ]

[What's this... Oh! This must be the place that Saori woman was talking about! Zia walks in smiling, looking around for familiar faces]

[Asuka had, in time honored tradition, just shown up on the day the place opened and asked for a waiting job. She's now carefully and surprisingly pleasantly taking orders. Even if she's not super-gregarious, or terribly fast at delivering tea, remembering the complex menu and balancing the hot tea sets are at least keeping her brain and hands occupied for once.]

Okay! You sure you want coffee on a hot day like this? This is a tea shop, not a place for hangover cures, you know.

[Beatrice can be found in an apron of all things, wandering around the shop like she owns the place. She's not the greatest waitress, but the customers seem to appreciate her suggestions. Tea is something she knows well and if anyone can suggest a confection to suit it, it would be her.]

[ Implying Gilgamesh would miss this. One, he needed to check out the competition. While the Cat Cafe was pretty well off, it didn't hurt to see if there was anything one could improve upon. Secondly, once he caught word that she was going to work here, well... He had to tease her, okay? It was second nature by this point. But he'll save that for later. ]
