Notes: Let's do this one like the beach party. One character per thread, everyone is free to do their own thing here. Employees can chat it up with guests, hijack a someone's table, ask if they can take a look at the mini-base upstairs, etc. Also retconning the hidden staircase to the base to inside the storeroom so no nosy NPCs can find it. Saori will eventually give everyone on the network a copy of the key to that storeroom.

[Today was the day the tea house finally opened. It took some time, but Saori's dream of owning such a place came true. Since today was an important, a little guest spoiling wouldn't hurt anyone. She had skipped over last night's Dark Hour so she could get up early and get some macarons, biscuits, scones and the ingredients for sandwiches in the afternoon.

It's a small building but it sits a number tables for 2-4 people. There are some booths and some tables available. If a guest wanted to, they could have a seat outside in the mini garden filled with various flower bushes.

The plants were watered, hot water and some coffee ready, and all the treats for the morning were set. Time to open shop!]

As the instructor and the one with a longer history here, I imagine that you would have a better idea of a suitable location than I.

The last time I trained anyone in combat, we just did so in the park. I wasn't sure if you'd want something quite so out in the open.

I've trained there before with Ledah. So long as there's sufficient space and we aren't atop a building, I'm not concerned with where we go or who might notice us.

My next suggestion would have been the roof of the hotel, so I suppose given our options the park will have to do.

Very well, then. Did you have a time of day in mind? That will affect how I can dress, after all.

Given the situations in which I would need to make use of this particular training, the daylight hours would probably be best. Of course, I do hope that some aspects of this will also be applicable to armed combat.

Of course. Not to sound arrogant, but I doubt most of the Fianna would have gotten very far if I could only teach one form or the other.

In addition to direct combat training, I believe I should focus on improving my stamina as well, but I can do that much alone.

I have faith that you'll do well enough. Of course, I have no intention of going easy on you--but I think you knew that already.

Yet I know full well that not everyone is capable of meeting them, or else I would have simply begun to teach law to a large proportion of our fellow kidnappees.

I'll make a point to restrain myself. It's a shame average humans can't seem to handle very much exertion, though.

I admit to being below average in that respect, at least when it comes to the level of exertion called for in combat. I'm more able to sustain lighter amounts for longer periods.

I meant more to the effect of 'not everyone is a demigod, Servant, or otherwise supernatural', but that's a fair point all the same.

Given what year it is, in roughly two months you'll have a chance to observe examples of the pinnacle of modern human ability for yourself. I lack the physical potential to reach that level personally, but it may still help to ground your expectations.

It is a shame, but it can't be helped. Unless Oscar and Oisín decide to kick down whatever walls separate universes, get lost, and end up dragging in a team of lawyers.

That would apply, if those two had been trying all that hard to catch me. As it happens, they were not--probably more fortunate for me than for them.
