// wherever I am you'll always be
WHO: Zero Lancer and anyone~ [OPEN]
WHEN: Daytime, August second
WHERE: Mainly that bookstore Nao hasn't bothered thinking of a name for yet.
SUMMARY: Lancer is totally normal. What would ever make you think otherwise?
RATING: PG-13, I assume?
LOG:
[A; morning]
[Anyone walking around the bookstore that morning would likely find Lancer in civilian clothes and glasses. He knew the latter was probably something of a pointless disguise, but if it made him look like less of a threat to anyone that could prove themselves a threat? It was at least worth a try.]
[Pointless or not, he'd more or less gotten used to it by now. And that particular morning, he would be whistling absentmindedly while reorganizing whatever shelf he was currently standing in front of. Maybe it was a little slower-paced than he was used to, but life as a human wasn't really half bad. When you put aside the whole 'serial killer running around' and 'inhuman monsters overrunning the city at night', at least.]
[B; late afternoon]
[Later on, one could find the glasses-wearing former Servant sitting on a bench not far from the bookstore, focused on the hardcover volume of something-or-other in his hand. It was difficult to tell by sight alone just how aware Lancer was of his surroundings--he seemed completely distracted, after all.]
[But the instinct of a Knight of Fianna was something that didn't fade even with a human body. If someone approached, he'd notice--if someone were to attack for whatever reason, they'd be met with an expert in unarmed combat.]
[C; early evening]
[Lancer walked back in the direction of the hotel, looking completely casual. Blending in, as he already knew, was simple as long as he didn't have to talk. It was a little trickier when the aspect of hiding who he was as a Servant and as a heroic spirit was brought into it.]
[But if that was what he had to do here until they found some kind of answers regarding who or what was responsible for this situation, then he'd simply live with it. He'd lasted this long, after all. But with people like Ryuunosuke and Gilgamesh running around, lancer was starting to doubt the rest of them would be able to preserve the secrecy of Servants and the Holy Grail War much longer.]

There's a man here who knows you as lancer... he seems a bit strange. What do you know of him?
no subject
[He took a couple books off the shelf, handing them to Garviel.] You may need to be more specific.

Claimed to be some sort of king, I paid him little attention.

Is he worth anything in a fight? I saw him Drag saber out during our recent battle and it was... odd.

...Wait, he did what with Saber?

[ Hurf durf space marine men wear skirts to fight, thanks a lot Templars of Dorn and Dark Angels. ]
Saber is a good champion, and a brave warrior, but I wish he'd have let me fight at his side... I felt dishonored that someone had to drag him off like that.

Saber deserves far better than that, and if I see Archer again our next conversation may well not be so casual.

[Mot to mention that Lancer wouldn't allow Saber to be defeated by anyone but himself.]
If that's your purpose as well, I can hardly stop you.
