// wherever I am you'll always be
WHO: Zero Lancer and anyone~ [OPEN]
WHEN: Daytime, August second
WHERE: Mainly that bookstore Nao hasn't bothered thinking of a name for yet.
SUMMARY: Lancer is totally normal. What would ever make you think otherwise?
RATING: PG-13, I assume?
LOG:
[A; morning]
[Anyone walking around the bookstore that morning would likely find Lancer in civilian clothes and glasses. He knew the latter was probably something of a pointless disguise, but if it made him look like less of a threat to anyone that could prove themselves a threat? It was at least worth a try.]
[Pointless or not, he'd more or less gotten used to it by now. And that particular morning, he would be whistling absentmindedly while reorganizing whatever shelf he was currently standing in front of. Maybe it was a little slower-paced than he was used to, but life as a human wasn't really half bad. When you put aside the whole 'serial killer running around' and 'inhuman monsters overrunning the city at night', at least.]
[B; late afternoon]
[Later on, one could find the glasses-wearing former Servant sitting on a bench not far from the bookstore, focused on the hardcover volume of something-or-other in his hand. It was difficult to tell by sight alone just how aware Lancer was of his surroundings--he seemed completely distracted, after all.]
[But the instinct of a Knight of Fianna was something that didn't fade even with a human body. If someone approached, he'd notice--if someone were to attack for whatever reason, they'd be met with an expert in unarmed combat.]
[C; early evening]
[Lancer walked back in the direction of the hotel, looking completely casual. Blending in, as he already knew, was simple as long as he didn't have to talk. It was a little trickier when the aspect of hiding who he was as a Servant and as a heroic spirit was brought into it.]
[But if that was what he had to do here until they found some kind of answers regarding who or what was responsible for this situation, then he'd simply live with it. He'd lasted this long, after all. But with people like Ryuunosuke and Gilgamesh running around, lancer was starting to doubt the rest of them would be able to preserve the secrecy of Servants and the Holy Grail War much longer.]

LANCER IS NORMAL
Regardless, she walks right up to the bench. ]
Lancer. [ That's Saber for "Hey there." ] We need to discuss Archer.
[ AKA Bro I'm coming to the guy who's clearly had enough ladies all over him. ]
He has a fascination. I wish to eliminate it. How does one go about accomplishing such things?
TOTALLY NORMAL
A fascination?
[He shut the book and set it aside, taking off his glasses as well--there wasn't any point in bothering with her.]
I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about.
no subject
It is as I say it is. He has a fascination.
[ "With me." ]
Work with me to eliminate it.
no subject
[Why did that annoy him? Was he still bitter over how things had ended in Fuyuki? ...well, yes he was, but it wasn't any fault of Saber's.]
[The problem was that Diarmuid didn't have the solution she needed.]
[He had experience, yes. Plenty of it--far more than he could remember, with Grainne and Sola-Ui only being the most obvious examples. But there had been nothing he could do to eliminate that fascination or cancel out a divine curse until he'd arrived in this city.]
...I don't know how, Saber. I wouldn't even know where to start.

[C]
[He wasn't in such a position of power that he could afford to turn away potential sources of information. He stopped a safe distance away, but close enough for easy conversation.]
Good evening. You're one of those I've spoken to on the devices, I believe?

At one point, he'd find himself walking nearer to where the bookstore is, and would probably continue walking past, when he notice Lancer. He recognise this man.]
Re: [B]
Is there something wrong? [Gold eyes looked over the book in his hand from behind glass lenses and focused on Allen, a small but friendly smile on Lancer's face.]
[B]
I seems to have gotten lost.
[Again.]

Also- I want books.

[...holy shit he would never get over how much she looked just like Saber.]
It's nothing. [He took the glasses off--they were rendered completely pointless around other Servants, instead of just mostly pointless.] What were you looking for in particular?

We do look alike, it seems.
They give you a, how to say it? Common air. Maybe it does help if your intend to be confounded with an average person. As for books...well, maybe some History texts?

Hey, where's the paranormal section?
[She stops and squints at Lancer.]
Hey, I know you!
...f-ffff i don't remember either /rolls with it
[Oh dear, it was that very unusual human girl with the trees and the stars and all that.]
Yes, I remember you.
Pretty sure they didn't
[Another mystery for another day.]
I'm interesting in Shadows, and the stuff that shows up at midnight. You know anything about that?

It couldn't hurt to try.
She does notice Lancer reading... something, and she does remember talking to him a few times on the phone systems. So she'll walk over.
It's possible that book would be relevant to her interests.]

Devola is browsing around the store on her own, seeming intent on giving every shelf a one-over. Apparently Lancer's whistling caught her attention and interest; she's taken to humming along with it, matching the tune fairly well.]

Good morning. Is there anything I can help you with?
no subject
'Morning. I'm just browsing, honestly -- though if you've got a section for recent history I'll admit a bit more interest in it than the other tomes.
