[... Oh right. Now she felt silly for asking that.] Ah, right, s-sorry. Well, at least I know I'm not alone in coming to something like this for the first time.

[She watches whatever is going on for a second, before leaning more against the wall.]

It's a lot more formal than what I'm used to...

I'm not entirely sure that I would know how to dance if it came up.

Ehe, neither would I. It all looks very... planned, like you've got to go a certain way or it isn't right.

[gaveupfeeling]

We wouldn't stand out, but it would be a bit awkward.

[technologic]

[She tilts her head in thought.] I think I can say I'm used to awkward, since I'm usually pretty awkward myself. And it wouldn't be too bad after a while, I think, once we get the hang of it.

[gaveupfeeling]

Would you like to dance, April?

[technologic]

[A blink, and then she nods in reply.] Um, y-yeah, I would.

[gaveupfeeling]

Then, let us. [He holds out his hand.]

[Another nod and she takes his hand.] Okay!

[gaveupfeeling]

[At least the song is good. Not like that 'rap' or 'pop' nonsense, this is some classic music.

He still has no idea how to do this.]

[Neither does April, but she peers at what other couples are doing and moves closer to him and places her hands on his shoulders. She would be more flustered if she wasn't focusing on how this is done.]

[gaveupfeeling]

[They step like... one, two, one, two? Like that? No, wait those are her toes.]

I'm sorry.

[technologic]

[That gets a faint wince from her, but she smiles reassuringly at him.]

It's all right, it didn't hurt.

[... Though after some more steps, she ends up stepping on his toes.] Ah, I'm sorry!

It didn't hurt.

[Let's try this again.

[And she's making sure that she doesn't step on his toes again, even if it does mean she has to glance down at her feet occasionally to make sure she doesn't.]

I think we're getting the hang of it.

Yeah, I think are. [She says right before a misstep, but she recovers quickly with a sheepish giggle.] ... And I'm sure it'll be more easier for us as we keep going.

Then let us continue. I'm enjoying it.

[April gives a hum of agreement and smiles up at him.] I'm enjoying it too!

[And she does slowly get better at this, despite the occasional misstep and quick glance to make sure she isn't about to step on his toes.]

[Some small conversation.] What made you choose that dress?

[technologic]

I, ah, thought it was pretty and I really like dressing up when I have the chance. It was kinda expensive, but I think it was worth it.

[gaveupfeeling]

I think it was, as well. It certainly suits you.

[technologic]

[Considering how April didn't think dressing up suited her much, that gets a surprised look.] Huh, r-really?

[gaveupfeeling]

Yes. [Obviously, because he said it the first time.]

[technologic]

[One day she'll not fail at receiving compliments. But for now, she'll blush and smile happily.] T-thank you. I w-was worried that I wouldn't suit it, but I'm glad that wasn't the case.
