[After her little makeover party earlier, Beatrice is feeling downright radiant. She's a vision of golden glitter and curls as per her signature and that of the one who took the liberty to invite her. Of course she'll be pleased to mingle with anyone, really. This kind of fancy ball seemed like a sheer delight in the making.]

[Archer arrives right on time, wearing a quite fashionable suit. Saber is with him, and together they have their arms interlocked.]

[Say what you will about Kayneth, but at least he's kind of a snappy dresser (Tokiomi not included). The mask is pretty sensibly stylish, too. Maybe you'll think it's not Kayneth, who knows. I mean how many blond douchebags will be attending, anyway?]

MAIN EVENT

[ The classic music starts and Shakespeare is here dressed up like and the obvious mask is present.

Feel free to start dancing or simple await until someone invites you. ]

[Anyone who says Eater doesn't look fantastic in his dress will get punched.

Anyway. He's cruising around the dance floor looking for potential partners.]

[Rider went all-out for this. Which is to say she's actually in a dress with no small amount of gold and silver jewelery. Unevenly cut as her hair might be, it's been carefully brushed, cared for, and mostly pulled into a slightly disheveled ponytail reaching about halfway down her back.]

[In other words, she hardly looks like Rider at all. Which is probably the reason she decided to ignore the use of a mask. This is the last person that'll ever be hiding her face, anyway.]

[Awkward in relaxed situations, Ledah? Certainly. But he does cut a figure in a suit.

He's sitting off to the side, just watching things for now.]

[This is seriously way different from the parties April is used to, so she feels kinda unsure of what to do, exactly which leads to some nerves. But she does manage to look nice in her dress and with her hair pinned back and up with a white flower.

So for now, she's happy just to watch what's going on.]

[ Merrill is dressed somewhat plainly in comparison to most people and for such an event, and obviously didn't put much effort into looking good, but don't blame her, man, they don't have these things in her world, especially back where she lived, and this is literally the first time in her entire life she's been to one.

She's standing next to a corner somewhere, off to the side, in a way that basically screams "socially awkward and inexperienced shy person", looking like she wants to join in but has no idea what to do and how. She seems calm enough, but her expression is kind of hopelessly lost. ]

[Diarmuid here will just be off to the side, quite content to watch everyone else--having forgotten that a mask was apparently important here, he's instead settled for brushing his hair a little differently to screw with Neah's head if he shows up.]

FOOD TIME

[ There is enough food to feed all the Sabers here. Also the food is truly amazing and high quality too!

[ So this is what an orgasm feels like. Saber will pretty much look as she does in the gratuitous icon provided with this comment, filling a server's tray full of food. Because why would she use a plate when she has this much larger plate to fill? ]

THE BALCONY

[Ugh, this was cliched. It was probably already a cliche when she was still alive. Rider leaned on the balcony with her head on her hand, huffing out an annoyed sigh as her other hand tapped a steady rhythm on the railing.]

[What was she doing? She was a pirate, for God's sake. A terrifying privateer who looked at her problems and then threw flaming ships at them. Or in this case, a terrifying privateer with an elder god residing within her head. Same difference.]

[The point was that she was the villain of her own story and quite happy to be, thank you very much. The villain never got the fairytale happily ever after, obviously. She was used to that; enjoyed it, even. The brightest flame burned out the fastest, but it was brilliant for the fleeting moments it existed.]

[This...this wasn't her. The fancy party, the nice dress, the sparkling jewlery...it wasn't Francis Drake. This kind of thing belonged to someone else entirely, the kind of girl whose life Rider wanted nothing to do with.]

[She was all dressed up like a fairytale princess. And it was disgusting. ]

THE GARDEN
