Was it very difficult to choose the dress?

There were more to choose from than I expected, which was a little overwhelming at first, but in the end when I saw this dress I knew it was the right one.

I had little interaction with others outside of my role as a guide before coming here. And in truth, I was only a wooden puppet - one with a will of her own, but still only that.

Milady. Would you honor me with a dance?

[That question brought a pleased smile to her lips, erasing the traces of sadness from before. She knew how to dance - a writer who had made dancing so central to his final story wouldn't neglect to give this skill to his most carefully crafted puppet - but had never needed to make use of that knowledge before.]

I would be delighted to, good sir.

[With a similar smile, he gently took her hand.]

I hope not to disappoint.

[She allows him to lead her out onto the dance floor, her steps light.]

I rather doubt that you will.

[He picks up the steps well enough, and he has always been a charmer. Soon they're dancing along to the sweet music.]

[Edel doesn't say anything as they dance, but it's obvious from her expression that she's enjoying the experience of dancing with someone for the first time, stepping gracefully in time to the music being played.]

[That statement causes her to stumble for a moment, though Edel is quick to recover, though the blush on her cheeks does not fade so easily.]

...Do you truly think so?

[She doesn't truly doubt his honesty, she is merely quite unaccustomed to thinking of herself as special or attractive in that way at all.]

Indeed I do, or I would not have said so.

[She nods her acceptance of his words, still blushing.]

Please forgive my uncertainty. I am still quite inexperienced with this sort of thing.

Then we're both happy, and the night goes on.
