I've been well. I have to admit I've almost missed parties like this. Hopefully there will be no...after effects like there was from the last large get together.

...Anyway, you had events like this often, before? Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Well, more upscale parties anyways. I've only been to a few masquerades since the tradition is even more archaic in my time then it is here. I think I missed the feeling of the familier more then the actual parties.

Anyways, I have to admit, I like your dress. Where did you get it?

Hmm, it's more about the atmosphere of the party than the partying proper?

I made it. Well, not the fabric itself. I bought that. Then proceeded to thread it all together.

Oh come now, Nigredo, stooping to the level of such cliche flattery? I'm certain there are less embarrassing ways to garner attention.

Oh, I dunno. Hyperbole's pretty harmless as far as cliche compliments are concerned, Erik.

[Yes. She knows that's not even close to his real name, self-given or not. But it's a fitting enough form of address. If she's put-off at all by Albedo's sudden appearance, it's clearly not enough to refrain from making quips.]

We've spoken a couple times before, but I believe this is the first time we've met in person.

Something like that, yeah. I kinda bug a lot of people over the phone-lines.

Sometimes I wonder how often we really need to do the introduction thing. The numbers here keep growing, but there's still not really a whole lot of us on the island.

Who knows. I doubt there is a critical mass cap that who ever is bringing us here is working towards however. It may be for a while, or it may be soon we wont have to and we'll 'all' be here for what ever reason we're brought here.
