Ready to go in?

WHO: Atsuro and everyone that volunteers to come! And maybe those who didn't but still come anyway.
WHEN: July 9th, Dark Hour
WHERE: Riggs Software AKA that building that turned into a dungeon at night
SUMMARY: An organised investigation into the Shadow-filled dungeon. Time to get ready and know your teammates.
RATING: PG.
WARNINGS: Probable swearing.

[When midnight came, the usual changes occurred. Including, as Atsuro noticed a while ago, a business building into something else. The teenager is waiting outside for everyone to arrive. He made sure to text them the address and directions to the right building.

Assuming the shadowy creatures doesn't get in their way.

(OOC: Threadjacking is encouraged. Prose or bracketspam is up to you. There'll be another log for the actual dungeon for convenience's sake.)

[Lancer always had horrific luck. With everything.]

If nothing else, we may be able to get a better look at these creatures and how they fight in greater numbers.

[...'him'? Well, Saber did seem to be dressed as a man for whatever reason. If that was her plan for whatever reason, Lancer wouldn't interfere with it.]

We came here from the same place. Saber and I fought together and against each other not long ago.

That's true. If we can fight out what they're weak against, then we can adjust our training accordingly.

[He thought over what Lancer said for a few moments, watching Saber talking to a few other people who had volunteered to go along.]

I see...

[Ainosuke had wanted to say more, but instead trailed off, thinking about the people who had been left behind. It had been about three weeks at this point and he still hadn't been able to contact any of them. It made his stomach twist uncomfortably, knowing what his brother could be doing in his absence -- especially when he'd threatened Sayama's safety the last night he'd been home.

Part of him wished his brother would show up, just so he could know what the other was doing.]

That's why I'm certain there's nothing to worry about. Saber is a good and honorable person as well as a worthy adversary. I've fought no one more skilled with a sword.

[There was a clear note of admiration in his voice, one lancer didn't even bother attempting to hide.]

As long as we have a tactician and combatant as skilled as that on our side, there's no way we'll fail.

[Ainosuke wasn't worried about anyone else being able to handle themselves. He was more concerned over holding up his own in comparison to everyone else. While he knew that research was useful and he'd been working hard on it, he was worried that his inexperience would do more damage than good if they got themselves into a bad position and he couldn't defend himself.

While he was thinking it, Ainosuke didn't mention it. He still trusted Lancer to look out for him, though he hated having to depend on someone else so much.]

Do you want to go with his group?

I'll go wherever you do, if that's what you want. Saber can watch out for that group well enough.

[While he did want to be able to fight alongside Saber again, Ainosuke had been a good friend and valuable ally during their time here so far. Not to mention that Lancer had spent several nights outside solely to try and keep those less skilled in combat out of danger.]

[Turning the thought over for a few moments, Ainosuke then rolled his shoulders back and took a deep breath, looking back up at Lancer. He really did want to give Lancer a chance to fight alongside his friend, since he knew how much respect Lancer had for the other. His only concern was that he wouldn't be strong enough to go with them.]

I... can go talk to him. To see if he'll let me go with you.

I should hardly need Saber's permission to fight alongside a friend.

[A term which still felt oddly out of place to Lancer--Servants weren't meant to have friends, just to fight and fulfill their Master's wish. Lancer sure as hell hadn't been looking to make friends during the Holy Grail War, and his attitude towards Saber was little more than that of a respected worthy opponent.]

[But he couldn't really debate the fact--he was friends with Ainosuke no matter how strange the idea was. Or how much stranger the environment and situation had become.]

And I doubt it will be much of a problem.

[identity profile] hidari-me.livejournal.com 2011-07-10 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[Here was the pouting, teasing tone again. At least it was a sign that Ainosuke was relaxing a little more. And it made him smile like an idiot that the other had called him 'friend.']

I'm not saying you need permission. I just don't want to slow everyone down.

[He was reluctant to admit more than that, since he figured his insecurities were obvious enough.]

I'll go check anyway...

[With that, Ainosuke turned away and started up towards Saber, back to his nervous self. It was pretty clear how intimidated he was, which was something he wasn't used to feeling.]
