Ready to go in?
WHO: Atsuro and everyone that volunteers to come! And maybe those who didn't but still come anyway.
WHEN: July 9th, Dark Hour
WHERE: Riggs Software AKA that building that turned into a dungeon at night
SUMMARY: An organised investigation into the Shadow-filled dungeon. Time to get ready and know your teammates.
RATING: PG.
WARNINGS: Probable swearing.
[When midnight came, the usual changes occurred. Including, as Atsuro noticed a while ago, a business building into something else. The teenager is waiting outside for everyone to arrive. He made sure to text them the address and directions to the right building.
Assuming the shadowy creatures doesn't get in their way.]
(OOC: Threadjacking is encouraged. Prose or bracketspam is up to you. There'll be another log for the actual dungeon for convenience's sake.)

everyone come annoy the derpknight
[He wasn't at all sure if Caster really could have been behind any of this, so for now he'd just wait to accompany the others inside.]
sneaks in here
she notices lancer and quietly makes her way to stand at his side. she offers an anxious smile. ] ... Lancer.
haaaay <3

[The smile turned to a confident smirk, Lancer obviously sure of himself even with little more than a metal pipe as his defense.]

[A sigh. Lancer knew this was a difficult situation, but ultimately there was really only one course of action.]
We'll just have to determine if there's a way to eliminate these creatures before anyone gets seriously hurt.

I do not intend on being so pessimistic before we have yet to begin our mission, however...I simply cannot bring myself to believe we can confront these creatures with our weapons alone. Perhaps- I wonder if those spirits you and I encountered a few nights past will come to our aide again.

[Especially not a representation of a knight Lancer had practically idolized. Why on earth would Ulster's hound have shown himself at a time like that, and how could he have vanished as if he wasn't even there?]

All right, Lancer. So tell me how to cleanse this heresy.

Aside from that, most everyone looked battle ready. It made him feel horribly out of place, but he'd wanted to come because of Lancer. Voicing his feelings wouldn't help anything, he knew, so he just stood back, looking uncomfortable and nervous.]

[He'd caught on to Ainosuke's discomfort, and of course it made sense--this was a dangerous situation, one in which they were all going to be risking their lives. But still Lancer was calm as ever. He focused mainly on the androgynous blonde wearing a black suit a distance away even as he spoke to Ainosuke.]
We're going to be fine.

I should have trained more.
[It had never occurred to him with as focused as he'd been on research and trying to dig up information while attending school. He hadn't thought about throwing himself into situations where he had to fight. Clearly, everyone else seemed to have different priorities.]
It looks like we're going to war.

[He glanced away from Saber finally, offering a faintly awkward smile.] It does, doesn't it? I suppose essentially that is what's going on.

I'd feel better about going if I knew exactly what we were dealing with. ... but I guess this can be considered a research trip too.
[He glanced to the blonde, then back to Lancer.]
Do you know him?

If nothing else, we may be able to get a better look at these creatures and how they fight in greater numbers.
[...'him'? Well, Saber did seem to be dressed as a man for whatever reason. If that was her plan for whatever reason, Lancer wouldn't interfere with it.]
We came here from the same place. Saber and I fought together and against each other not long ago.

[He thought over what Lancer said for a few moments, watching Saber talking to a few other people who had volunteered to go along.]
I see...
[Ainosuke had wanted to say more, but instead trailed off, thinking about the people who had been left behind. It had been about three weeks at this point and he still hadn't been able to contact any of them. It made his stomach twist uncomfortably, knowing what his brother could be doing in his absence -- especially when he'd threatened Sayama's safety the last night he'd been home.
Part of him wished his brother would show up, just so he could know what the other was doing.]

[There was a clear note of admiration in his voice, one lancer didn't even bother attempting to hide.]
As long as we have a tactician and combatant as skilled as that on our side, there's no way we'll fail.
