Dark Hour Log
[The clock has struck midnight and something in the air has changed. Time’s stopped, people have transformed into coffins, the coloring of the world seems all wrong. And worse, you might notice something moving in the corner of your eye. Something dark, shadow-like, and definitely foreboding.]
[Make your own threads, tag each other, etc.! This is for Monday Night, and when your characters will first be here experiencing this!]

Who might you be?

Ainosuke moves a bit closer, still keeping about five feet between them when he stops.]
Ah... Ainosuke Tanaka.
[He hesitates slightly, staring at the boy in front of him as though he's trying to place why the other is in this so-called dream. Maybe he was a classmate he'd never really noticed before, like Masaki.]
Have we met?
no subject
[At least she doesn't recognize him or his name. Maybe he was on the train with her and her brain just reformed him here in her dreams. But she might as well introduce herself since he did]
Naoto Shirogane. [Is all she says before turning her attention to a coffin] What a strange dream this is turning out to be.
no subject
It also felt weird to say 'nice to meet you' though he might have at any other point.]
I-I wouldn't... touch that. I don't think they should be messed with.
[Ainosuke also wasn't going to deny that this was a dream, if he thought it was. It was his personal opinion as well and the fact that a potential manifestation was bringing it up didn't bother him.]
... it is, isn't it?
no subject
You believe this is a dream as well?
no subject
Things like this can't be real, right? ... there's no explanation for it. And this...
[He paused to motion at their surroundings.]
It's not Japan. I don't know where we are, but it looks like we're a long way from home.

[Someone kidnapped her then?] Perhaps we should search for more people. Staring at a coffin all day won't get us anywhere.
[And she starts to walk down the street]
no subject
I haven't seen anyone else yet.
no subject
[It wouldn't make sense if they were the only two brought here. She doesn't bother looking at the coffins anymore since they hold no importance, for now at least.]
no subject
[At this point, Ainosuke's a lot more polite than he would be. His usual tendency is to start calling people by their first names once he's introduced, but he feels compelled to be more like this considering their circumstances.]
Is there anyone who would want to do something like this to you?
no subject
[Not that it's happened too many times before but it's always a possibility]
no subject
[While Ainosuke sounded surprised, it wasn't in a condescending way. He didn't believe the other at first, but that was only because they looked so similar in age. Was this guy serious? He certainly looked like the type, if he were a bit older, but...]
no subject
[Not even going to give him a glance when she says that. It's not anything new to her so she doesn't find it strange at all]
no subject
It makes him feel a little better knowing someone like this is around, even if they are close to the same age.]
There's... someone who might come after me too, but I don't think they'd go after someone like you.
[He doesn't elaborate even though he knows this sounds horribly suspicious...]
no subject
Why would someone be after you?
no subject
I've been helping the police where I'm from solve a series of kidnapping cases.
[Actually, it then turned into a murder case and then a drug related case dealing with a concert, but this was easier to make people believe.]
Considering the type of people they went after, though, I don't think they'd risk kidnapping a detective.
no subject
Ahh- now she feels a bit more relaxed in his presence. He's basically a fellow detective and from Japan too! How lucky she is to have met him. But she keeps that same straight face on]
Detectives are well at risk to be kidnapped, we're the ones who solve the cases after all. We may know things we shouldn't.
no subject
... maybe.
[A vision right now would help immensely... There was something more to all of this that he wasn't seeing.
His brother had always said that being smart was just knowing how to look at something from a different angle, but how else could he look at what was happening to them now?]
